Yep. I get that there are a lot of ****** men who keep saying homophobic bs, but that cup pretty much lumps us all together and is like "Haha, this cool character is ours not yours." Intent or not, it does the cosplay a disservice; I don't mind that Sera is gay because I'm sure there have been countless times when gay players have wanted to "romance" a character that is straight and so they have to make a male character. Why should we be any different?
I don't know honestly, I think after years of being ignored as gamers, being treated as a joke by a lot of men(not all), and sexual abusive comments. I think this has coloured their perception of male gamers to a point where they are extremely hateful and spiteful. If this is to change more men, and the male dominated developers need to make an effort: to be less sexist and ignorant. It will take time, two decades is not easily forgotten.
However, I get annoyed when some girls attack all guys over it. This just makes it worse, and some of the younger male gamers were not around during those decades. Why should we blame them for something they were not alive for?
Oh, imagine the amount of broken hearts if they actually gated her againist the qunari. I shudder when thinking about it.
We definitely don't need that. Partially because I'm not very original with my love interests most of the time I do a new playthrough. (Oh, LiaraxFemShep...)
And I might end up trying to romance her with a qunari, eventually.
Liara and femshep is practically cannon. Be causes their v.a's
