Just completed ep 2 of life is strange! oh man, I think I'm going to accidentally ruin Max's life. I find Chloe to be a weird mix of adorable and way too immature. but I really like the friendships. ![]()

Wait wait, are you the other Irish person, or the one with Irish roots?? I was talking to Nub earlier and I couldn't remember what thread got hijacked with Gaeilge but could have sworn it was you!
I couldn't be moar Irish if I tried, born and raised here, Dad's side come from Port Láirge and Mum's from Corcaigh, Irish first name and surname, common as muck also. ![]()
Yep that was me, helped hi-jack that thread with some gaelige gibberish and I'd do it again. ![]()

Sera does it better. Like always.
- Cole: You don't have to be afraid Sera. I won't hurt you.
- Sera: Go away.
- Cole: I won't stab you when you are looking somewhere else. I won't do that to your boots. Or that other thing to your arrows. I don't understand what that last thing is, but I won't do it either.
- Sera: Why does it keep talking at me?

I finished Jaws of Hakkon. I actually liked it, which frustrates me, because Bioware handled this all so poorly. If you'd be happy with high-level challenging fights and getting to explore a cool area that actually has an interesting story/npcs/lore behind it, it's worth a grab. If you want a story heavy DLC with a lot of cutscenes and companion interactions (beyond quest/location commentary), this isn't it.

Guess us being last to get it turned out to be a blessing, not in any rush to buy this. I'll throw my money at Telltale instead.

It would have really benefited from better narrative framing, especially with cutscenes. There should have been a lot more. The game dumps you in a new area, and the scene with Harding is extended but familiar: introduction to an area. It's not until you get a few quests into it that you realize it does have a story that's moving and driving things and is more than just a typical DA zone. If they had put more effort in the beginning of it, I don't' think people would have as negative of an opinion....it really does look like it might be a grindfest empty area at first, so I don't blame people....once you keep playing it though, there's a cohesive and interesting narrative and it's a pretty area. I also like the NPCs a lot. Shrug. It could be improved on, but it's not as terrible as people are saying. But also Bioware set themselves up for this negative backlash in a way, because they didn't tell people what to expect.
