I never rolled an archer and I don't know if I ever will. I mean Sera makes Legolas look like a chump, so their isn't much of a point to having another archer in my party. lol
Loving my archer game, kind of like twin tempests with Sera . Inky get's Sera's hand me down equipment.
Oh my god, I loved being an archer as Abaeni. I killed things way above my level just by climbing to a mountain top where they couldn't get me and hiding my team around a corner where they couldn't follow!
in DAO my dalish was a archer had too for continuityYou may never go back to playing a
peasantmage though.

valid playstyle
I amused myself. Little Level 11 Abaeni taking on level 17 demons. Bah, no challenge!

I've tried this with my mage and it does not work as well as it does for archers. When they climb to you an archer can leap back but my mage is frozen unless he chooses to run. Not digging the mage.
of course not lol your a 150 yards away in tree lol (elf joke)I amused myself. Little Level 11 Abaeni taking on level 17 demons. Bah, no challenge!

Well, my canon Inky, Arianne, was a Dalish Hunter. As such, she started out with a bow. Because it makes a little bit more sense for someone who HUNTS ANIMALS FOR FOOD. Then, when Sera took up the mantle (trust me, I tried Sera with daggers, but it only lasted about three seconds - I didn't even leave her recruitment area before I gave her the bow back) she changed into a melee skirmisher with two daggers.
She also was interested in becoming a Bard. Or learning the skills. I guess it does make sense that her two end-game daggers are the Daggers of the Dragon, named Tool of the Game and Bard's Letter Opener.

What he does to archery is pretty much what 360 noscope is to real life maneuver warfare.
After a while you can ask her about herself and she answers to the best of her recollection.
She does the same during her high approval scene on the roof as well.
Huh.
And here I thought my Inquisitor was super popular with her.
If you have high enough approval with her and you keep talking to her then sooner or later you will get that rooftop chat where she will tell you about her childhood.

Holy moly! When I go back after my 2 week break, I'll only have 6 weeks left in my first year at Uni. That's scary how fast the year has gone.
Yeah, i do find archery fun after magic. My Trevelyan (the hottie in my avi) is a Tempest archer and i totally see her and Sera as both fighting over who's best archer and how many enemies they killed with arrows. Fun fun. ![]()

That is a pretty good looking Inquisitor you have there. ![]()

I don't think a lot of people take the time to think about how fast time can really fly. It seems like there are days where you look at a calendar and really wonder if the date is right. Because a month can go by in what feels like a couple of days.

I demand more pictures. Because I'm incapable of making a custom character that does not look like they fell off the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down. Maybe your work will inspire me to do better.
Oh and just because I can. Here is a classic performance of a great song.

You've seen all mine, haven't you? I mean, mine don't exactly look realistic, they've got a sort of anime style to them, but I find they're pretty enough to play a good hundred hours with.

Post pictures of your character, John, and maybe we can help you figure out where you went wrong!
I don't have DA:I installed and will not reinstall it tell I know the directx crash has been fixed. If the directx crash ever gets fixed, I'll post pics. I simply became to frustrated with DA:I the last time I booted up the game , it's really not worth re-installing without knowing for sure the issue has been addressed.

That's fair. I haven't played since I crashed at the very end of the Temple of Mythal cutscene. I have no desire to do all that over again right now.

It took me 2 starts to get it running the other night John. CTD'd once while loading and opened windowed another time. That was the first start on patch six. Third time proved the charm and It ran beautifully and gone were the ctd's I'd been having on the war table since patch 5. I don't know what to make of it.

Honest, i seriously suck at making custom faces too (especially humans). I guess my Trevelyan was the lucky one. Adaar too.
Mostly because the "default" Trevelyan art from bioware helped me with making her. I had my muse. ![]()

Yep, dat her. If only she had her long hair.
Pics in spoiler bc they're huge af
And have some Sera

It's just too much frustration to risk. I couldn't even beta test patch 5 because I would CTD the moment the intro started or right after creating my character. On the rare occasion I got past both it would ctd right at the start of the interrogation scene. I tried playing when patch 5 went live and every cut scene or dialog scene would cause a ctd. It's infuriating because I'm in the camp of those who think DA:I's game play is nothing but a watered down MMO and a bad one at that. The only thing that keep me playing was the cut scenes and character interaction. So more or less the only parts of the game I really enjoyed where the root cause of my immense frustration due to the dx crash.
