For those that do like Star Wars and possibly Anime and snappy dress sense, some guy made a TIE fighter inspired anime fan short film, which is pretty okay.
 



 
Mostly worth watching for the TIE Bomber pilot.

I loved this. It gets a 97.

Pretty sure that if the Interdictor used its gravity well projectors to spoof incoming projectiles, that the Rebel task force could simply jump to lightspeed. Interdictors couldn't project the hyperspace-blocking cone while simultaneously altering the gravitational characteristics of the ship itself. That was actually a standard tactic in fleet operations, and came up in the Warlord Zsinj campaign in the X-wing novels (among other places). So once the Rebel starfighters attacked the Interdictor, the battle would have ended.

But that's a tiny nit. And it's only worth 3 points. The video was very fun and gets an A overall. Especially for the badass lady bomber pilot and for reproducing the missile lock tone from the games. So much of my childhood was spent listening to that.

It's set long before the movies so you don't really need to know the lore beyond the basics.

Whoa, that's way too much for a 10 years old game. They're basically selling it at the same price of a new game. O_o

Seriously as long as you know about Jedi, lightsabers and the light and dark side of the force you'll be fine. The rest is explained in-game. The strength of KotOR lies in its separation from the movies. It's a BioWare story in the Star Wars universe.

See now Uncle knows how to sell shizz. Interessant... Any idea of the PC specs? I've got a rickety Dell XPS desktop atm - should cope, right? I'd say a console version would be a mess at this stage!

I must admit I missed the release of Life is Strange, but after seeing all the positive responses to it I'm getting the season pass tomorrow. Love Telltale's style of gameplay.

Didn't know about interdictors. It's kind of funny how they're there to nerf two OP technologies but can't do both at the same time. Lady Bomber was cool, also strangely the only one who did some proper flying.

(edit) Not that I didn't have a minor obsession with women combat pilots to begin with.

 

I missed out on TIE fighter but the missile alert tone in MechWarrior 3 makes me similarly twitchy.

I assume it's because there's only a few copies left. As an acclaimed game there is some demand, so it's worth something and as a limited item it's worth a lot.
