What I don't understand though is... why is this "off topic nonsense" being brought up by both you and Orchid. Just the other day, we were having a nice little discussion about Life is Strange, and you showed no signs of it annoying you. Same goes for you Orchid. Yes, your off topic posts are few and far between, but you still do them, you still participate in those discussions. So, why are you both saying this now?

Its sorted out. The rules have been made and established.  This is now a strictly Sera only thread.  Non-sera posts are not allowed, and respect for seniority of being a topic member is expected.  It seems as though enough people in this thread have become friendly enough to need a place to still come to socialize, and so that now has its own home, and will no longer clutter up this thread.  

 

Those who felt this was once a home but have become offended at the newcomers derailing their thread will attempt to return it to what it once was.  Those who cherished the friendships formed here will now attempt to continue those in another place and not lose the bonds they had formed with both other newcomers and more senior thread members. And hopefully we will all still have what we all want and everyone can be happy again. And other unlikely improbable scenarios.

And, to keep this post on topic, Sera is a big fan of change on my opinion, most of the time.  She seems like one who would relish seeing events change and new things and new people, especially when the change.

 

Except, and this is the interesting part, this time the change is too big.  The hole in the sky, suddenly change is not good at all, and she wants to help get things back the way they were.  Because this change is just too big.

 

Anyone else have thoughts?  assuming this post is welcome in the thread?

Nub, you're mad I understand that, but this isn't going to solve anything ok. We have a thread and they have a thread let's not start a riot. We all love the Seranade thread, so let's keep it so we can return here and make posts when we want without any arguments or fights occurring between the two camps ok.

 

I apologized to Orchid privately and we exchanged some views. I think I needed clarification of some things and I got them. We had a good exchange. I am not opposed to the idea of more Sera talk. In fact, I welcome it. I just maybe had a quibble with the method or presentation. If people want to discuss more Sera well how could you really oppose that given this thread's title? I just believe the onus is on everyone to try and steer the conversation to that when it's needed and it's not the fault of any one person or persons when that does not happen. I firmly, 100%, believe that it is a shared or collective responsibility.

They don't have a problem with off topic discussions itself, but the Sera thread itself has become it's own version of the The Lobby

I fully agree with both of you, and I know that I was a major perpetrator, but I didn't have anywhere to talk to all of you at once, and I love hearing about your offline lives and opinions on all topics.

 

Now that we have an OT home, I fully agree with leaving this as a Sera thread. I can have a foot in both places. I don't want to lose relationships with anyone else. 

 

I also apologized to Orchid privately. So I hope we can all stay in harmony now.
