One Shotting Dragons
For anyone on this thread who has been playing for any amount of time, Sera is the queen of dragon fights.
So to replicate the link above, you'll need a good crafted bow. Swan Bow works best IMO but since it's a random drop, the Masterwork Spiked Bow works just as well (possibly a little better since it has an offensive cloth slot).
Crafted armour with an even split between Dexterity and Cunning helps as well although I favour Cunning as a means of indirectly raising her crit chance.
Sturdy Prowler Armour (or the Superior version which, unsurprisingly, is superior), Scout Coat Boots, Prowler Armour Arms and the Superior Adventurer Hat will all achieve this but if you can find it, the Superior Skirmisher Hat is a little better.
Also, Mighty Offense Tonic with the Crit Damage upgrade helps big time as well.
As for skills, I consider the following to be essential:
- Cheap Shot (Sabotage Tree) - Sunders armour on a critical hit
- Ambush (Subterfuge tree) - Allows any attack from stealth and for a few seconds afterwards to ignore 50% of an enemy's armour
- Killer's Alchemy (Tempest tree) - Boosts damage by 15% any time a potion or flask is used, that includes health and regeneration potions as well. Can be stacked.
- Pincushion (Archery tree) - Every attack hits 5% harder over a 10 second period.
Doesn't sound impressive until you consider that Thousand Cuts hits 38 times in about 10 seconds. - Thousand Cuts (Tempest tree) - This one is obvious.
- All three Flasks (Tempest tree) - Again, obvious.
- Poisoned Weapons (Sabotage Tree) - This one is optional since it's really not all that useful a skill.
- To start, use Flask of Lightning and then start taking whatever potions and tonics you have to boost your damage with Killer's Alchemy and if you have it, use Poisoned Weapons as well.
- Once Flask of Lightning is over, use Flask of Fire for an additional boost from Killer's Alchemy.
- Use Stealth and hit the dragon with Thousand Cuts.
And if simply killing dragons isn't enough, hit your target with Static Cage and Mark of Death first.
And for those wondering, it should be possible to do it to DLC enemies.
(Jaws of Hakkon spoiler ahead, showcases a Tempest rather than Sera though)
