Between Cass and Josie I find that one being able to contribute dialogue at almost every point in the game gives the former a huge advantage.
Not to mention one has an already-established identity and personality (and is a companion to take into combat) while the other is new (and is a simple advisor).
I felt that way about Cassandra and Josie

Pre-release, I was fairly set on making a Dalish male keeper... thought I'd romance Sera. But things change... funny how silly that whole idea was.

I think she could easily be as old as 25, but I'm not sure how much age matters in a I-can't-believe-it's-not-medieval setting.

To be fair, the Inquisitor is not a follower of the Qun, so Sera doesn't have an issue with it. Plus, qunari women are hot, she's distracted by the sexy.
