I know right?  B)

I really like playing as a Tempest.

And as a mage, Knight Enchanter suits my qunari more.

Simply Sera. :). She's such a hipster. Unfortunately, I'm not hip enough to know this without being told it.

I mean, I thought my Assassin was hot stuff, but then I pretty much cried when I watched Sera decimate a dragon lol.

And yeah, I always run a Knight Enchanter for my Bullmancing Trevelyan and Adaar. It's a lot of fun swinging a spirit sword.

I'm probably gonna run a Tristan Lavellan eventually that will be a bow Tempest.

Why do the Tempests get all the cool powers?
:crying:

It's a rogue thing. We're just that awesome B)

Seriously though, every rogue can roll dragons in seconds if you know how.

The Sera thread tends to do that, indeed.

I know, right?

I've talked about what you wanna talk about, I've been poking the heart icon all day, what more do women want!?

Now imagine if it worked that way in real life, just poking at someone's heart icon.

But I did manage to get her to start a romance, so I got that going for me, which is nice.

Hi Seranaders, how is everyone today/tonight?

@Thread

Yeah, the Tempest specialization is op as hell. Sera and another Tempest just breaks the game... bad.

Try three archers and Solas. It's the equivalent of three mages and a rogue in DAO only with more killing power.

Why Solas specifically?

Crowd control and because Necromancer is underwhelming and AI can't play a Knight Enchanter.

Thanks. She's a qunari who is totally fine with not being in the Qun, but feels like she needs some kind of purpose to dedicate herself to, and mercenary jobs haven't been enough... and while she doesn't believe in the Maker or follow any religion, the Inquisition suits her well. And she gravitates to Sera as another kind of seeker, in addition to being more easygoing than my elf can be and more able to take Sera's sense of humor.

As an aside, I do love it whenever I get a chance to tease Sera. "Oh, you're from Wherever? I'm from North Wherever!"

Sera x Tal Vashoth just feels right.

She likes dwarves too. They're adorable to her even with full facial tattoos.

Okay guys, I got a serious question. I know, after all this time and having multiple playthroughs, this question might seem odd but still.

After the Temple of Mythal Sera say it's all lies. But what exactly? I never really fully understood what she meant.

Abelas tells us that the elves are to blame for their downfall, nobody else. And Sera seems to take delight in that, so obviously this is not the lie she refers to.

Apart from that she saw the Temple, saw the well and saw either Morrigan or the Inquisitor him/herself drink. So everything about the well she witnessed herself.

Hence, what exactly are those lies in the temple that she speaks of? This conversation always left me a bit confused, simply because I am under the impression that I just don't really understand her.

(I don't mean to express I disagree with her or anything, I actually like Sera.)

She was referring to the possible existance of the elven gods, I think.

But why only then? She knew about them before, yet after the temple she seems so... surprised? upset? something... "new", a feeling that had not been there before. I find it hard to express what I mean.

Before it was just an idea. After the Temple it was a reality. It's the same difference between knowing you're going to die someday and being about to die. The reality of it can hit hard.

I was confused a bit as well. She was talking about demons while I only saw a bunch of old elves and a magic swimming pool. It could be in reference to the figure coming out if the Well at the end (though I don't think Sera was in a position to see it).

That mission did confirm that elves had immortality since the sentinels had been alive all this time. Perhaps Sera is saying she believes this magical immortality is the work of demons? She also thinks that the Well itself is powered by demons so there's that as well.

I haven't done the mission in some time, but I don't recall there being undeniable proof that the elven gods were for real totally real coming from it (we, the audience, know about them because we have access to more info than Sera).

Because, like BC said, after the Temple there was enough evidence to think that the elven gods are indeed real: what was once something that could be dismissed as "just stories" is now something that quite possibly exists, and the very thought scares her.

I'm a bit confused here as well, I know there were all kinds of revelations about the Elven pantheon in the Temple of Mythal, but I don't remember much of them in actual gameplay (that is not codices). I'm not sure what Sera was supposed to see that goes beyond the normal statutes and magic you see in in any Thedas ruins.

I agree that her reaction is supposed to be to proof of the Elven gods being legit though.

There's the Well of Sorrows and the creature that gets out of it to cover the party's excape; Sera might have caught a glimps of it.

Yeah, we still don't know what kind those "elves" were. Gods? Demons? Spirits? Who knows.

Sera totally panicked with the thought that there would be more than one god.

It's why I had to headcanon lying to her at the end. The dialogue options with her at that point are lousy. You want to scream: "Oh my god woman did you not see all of that with your own eyes?" And it gets better cause I had Sera in my party when I went to confront Mythal/Flemeth and even then you'd think that the shoe would drop for her. I think she's in a great state of denial. I hope we see more of her just to see how she deals with it, down the road, on her own.

It doesn't help that the last time we went poking around in ancient elven stuff, actual demons popped out. Dig up a grave and suddenly a horror is trying to crawl up your ass about it.

Can you blame her though? Imagine if you got proof that God might actually exists, surely a lot of people would lose their cool and be in denial. Sera's reaction is very human and understandable, imho.
