I don't play as female just to be able to romance Sera but it's certainly an agreeable side-effect. ![]()
That looks just like Tressa's armour above on the last page! (And agreed about Liara.

Liara, Leliana and Sera.

Enjoyed Isabela and Sam also but the two L's and Sera are at the top of my list.
My only complaint about the LI's in both games is not enough content although Sera seems to have had far more romantic content than Liara's which is a shame. But Sera could still get more. Liara's case is closed. ![]()

Liara gets pretty much the most romance content in the ME games. It's one of the main beefs that her detractors have. And she does have her own DLC, but the ME games are just not as in depth as DA in general. I think that the whole trilogy is shorter than DAO and DA2, before you even get to DAI...
Liara, Leliana and Sera.

Why would you post something like that. That hurt.

I agree. I also play female because... well, I don't really know. It feels more... natural? by now.
I also don't think too much of male voice acting, for some reason. Not even in Inquisition. I just prefer the voices of FemShep, Lady Hawke, and... yeah, Lady Inquisitor. And then I tend to couple them with other women, I wonder why... (Shep/Liara, Hawke/Merrill, Inky/Sera)
Although I did roll BroShep twice, for Tali and Ashley. Never played a man in DA, though...

For me, poor Samantha comes two games too late to be any real competition for Liara...
And then there's... Actually, would you believe I haven't romanced Leli, ever? Gotta fix that, one day. Perhaps one day...
And then I see like... one choice... in DA2. None of the other LIs catch my eye, not remotely.
And, of course, in Inquisition. Yeah? Yeah!
Mine is Lels, Izzy, Sera and Liara.

I don't want it to be. Believe me I don't. I haven't finished ME 3 yet so not sure if she makes it out but the ME 4 developers already are saying we won't see anyone we know again from the previous games. ![]()
Sorry Orchid. I didn't mean to hurt. I feel pretty bad about it too. ![]()
Cass, Sera, Morrigan, and Liara ftw. ![]()
When I replayed ME I was surprised just how little content there was compared to Sera and Leliana.
I agree. In the first game, LIs get pretty much the almost-kiss, and the scene in the cabin, that's it.
In ME2, well... most get about two, three scenes per game, I think - most of Liara's is actually in the DLC.
In ME3, not much better, as I recall, but still a bit more than ME2, maybe? Citadel DLC definitely makes up the bulk.

Well, my longest playthroughs are about
20-50-50 for ME...
70-25-116 for DA.
Third games always completionist, Inquisition just base game, ME3 with all DLC.

I love Leliana, but Morrigan is still my fave romance from Origins, although sadly she's not f/f for those that only play as female. I got weapons' grade feels when talking to her about my canon warden in Inquisition.
I like the characters in DA2 but for me none of the LIs really chimed with me. I wanted to romance Aveline...
I need to finish my Cassmance but from what I've seen I prefer Sera. I'm not a poetry and flowers person, really...
Also Sera's kiss location is more scenic than Cass's...

I think that's very true. I might try the 5 mins you probably get with Miranda next time. Let's hope ME 4 is beefier in the romances regard.
DA:I has a lot of character content but it isn't distributed evenly. I felt like their were two tiers of companion and that the secondaries (Varric, Viv, Cole and Lels?) kind of got left out, might have missed some bits though. That said I guess that might be the logical way of splitting content between a supporting cast that large. Well assuming that the nine companion thing is a good idea anyway.

Not a romance thing but I liked how Samantha was just a tech to start off with, sort of lost it with her gradual marinifcation though.
Couldn't enjoy Sam's romance for some reason.... probably due to her being a later addition (angry face >:|) and having few romance lines compared to Liara... Then again Liara kept calling you a friend in ME3 which annoyed me A LOT.
But LotSB was a++++ for Liaramancers.

That scene was too adorable for words. Getting flustered over qunari is amazing.... and when the qunari flirts back? Damn. ![]()

Mainly i do hope gay/lesbian romances will be much better, having more LI's in this department and less about a straight male harem.

I think there should be more romances overall and as someone who tries to do all romances, including the gay ones, I do hope the lgbt content is BioWare's best yet!
Oh as for Liara calling you a friend in ME 3 that was irritating until my Shep got a chance to call her out on it with some good results. Liara always seems to need a lot of coaxing! ![]()

I agree. (Says the straight male whose canon romance is Femshep/liara...
)

I was going to say that they've been trending better on the gender / sexuality fronts and that they've probably got this figured out by now but then I remembered Inq's female animations and the dropping of companion flirting, so...
But yes, hope.
I don't know, I thought Varric still got quite a lot of content.
More than everyone bar Cass and Solas IMO.
Hmm, looking back Varric has a lot of content with other companions I'd overlooked.
But nine is probably too many companions though since it isn't as if a balanced party has ever been necessary.
I prefer as few companions as possible, but I'm radical like that.

If there were only three for instance and said choices were Anders, Sebastian and Fenris (or characters similar to them), I would want no part of that s***.
Hey, that's a great idea. Imagine the angst banter and then the forum rage. They could use the extra content to put in even more poorly timed Anders flirts as well.
I like Fenris.
I personally think that the Sera romance is the most well-done romance in DAI. It starts very slowly and if you ask too soon she will tell you to wait, get to know each other better. She will actually consider who you are and if she can get along with it. If she notices (with a Dalish at least) that her belief system does not match yours she will bring it up as an issue and even break up if she feels she cannot handle your opinions. She is one character who can comment on others and even acknowledges other romances the character might have. If you try to date her even though you are in a relationship, you will net disapproval. etc. etc. Just these little things make it all much more realistic and fleshed out.
I know that the Solas and Cullen romance (for example) suffered game external reasons like budget and time. And Bull obviously is not meant to have as much emotional depth as Sera. But still, her romance just seems designed, developed, and implemented much better than others.
