True, but... my Hekati Adaar is also really into fiddling with magic, especially some of the darker varieties. It's why I named her that.

To be fair, in a fight between Sera and an Ancient blood mage Tevinter magister with darkspawn powers, Sera is the one with A Thousand Cuts.

I never really tried but I'm not that invested in the combat anyway. I believe it's supposed to be pretty amazing though, I think Duelist has posted some good write ups on it.

Re: the discussion on why Sera is so hated. I think there are a lot of factors and when you look at any one group there are different reasons (ie the ones I'm putting forth here don't necessarily work for the Sera hate squad on tumblr, just reflect what I've seen on the BSN) , but it imo the extremity of it largely seems to come down to 1) she doesn't stroke your ego and 2)she doesn't stroke your ego while being female. ( Same goes to Viv, tbh.)

I tend to draw out the romance a bit though.
Thing is, before the cookie scene, you get the "I've seen the looks" scene - if you accept the romance there, you can choose to do so two ways - Inky either says they'll "talk... and have fun... later" or "I'm inviting you up to my chambers."

So, the first was inspired by Ariane (note the fact I did a typo in the name... oh well, different clan, differently remembers the spelling!) from Witch Hunt. That was Arianne, the Dalish Hunter with a bow (and later daggers). First to Keeper Istimaethoriel, however, is an elven lass by the name of Lyna!
Still not sure how I'll name my future third Elven lass, who's going to be a two-handed warrior... But that decision is months in the future. If not years. Personal reasons.

It's a Cornish name because Dalish names are usually vaguely Celtic sounding and Cornwall is the county of England with most Celtic heritage, and its own Celtic language. I used Alix Wilton-Regan as the voice so that seemed like a reasonable excuse for her to have an English accent. Finally it means "Third" so it kind of fit with DAI being the third game...
