Well now that I'm done mopping the Exalted Plains with my twinsie tempests, tomorrow it's off to finally start "Wicked Hearts" with Adaar, Sera, Dorian, and The Iron Bull. Or as I call them Team DILLIGAF ;-)

I think a lot of us would like to see more growth with Sera and I at least would love some content for her in a DLC that shows some reflection. A lot of the companions are allowed that to a degree she isn't, despite the short time. I've argued that it makes sense but that doesn't mean I think it's the best type of companion arc. Xil's position is harsher and more focused than mine, but I don't particularly disagree with her either.

The way I feel is that during the time that Sera and Inky are together, I'd just wish that Sera would see from how the Inquisitors treated Sera and how they treated others would influence her a bit to be a little more accepting of the elf inquisitors. For example if the elf inquisitors treated everyone alike and didn't favor the Dalish maybe during the after Arbor wilds conversation they could be treated the same as the other races. If a character is able to prove that they are different from what Sera fears, then let them feel good about themselves instead of feeling that no matter what they do they are still going to be that elfy elf. In a way that seems to be what happens with the Noble inquisitors from what I've seen in conversations, as long as they treat people well she doesn't have a problem with them. I know it's too late for that but it just would have been nice if a fair and just elf could have been able to partially disagree, so you don't feel so singled out.

I actually thought her cookies on the roof scene was great accomplishment in this.

It gave some tantalising hints, but really we know little about her life before or after she was living with the noble woman, Is her fear of magic really just a normal common person's fear, or is there more to it? How did she get to become Val Royeaux's Red Jenny? Were there some specific interactions with other elves that really reinforced her dislike for the Dalish and elven separatism, or is it just down to her not wanting to be treated as different? There's plenty more that we could find out...

So I started a new game, as a mage this time, who recruted templars. Gotta say, Sera had some funny comments during this mission with Cassandra. And that cute conversation about my mage's specialization was so awww!

So I recently did the scene where Sera has the nightmare about the Inquisitor dying and totally freaks out. For me it's another in a long line of scenes with Sera that drive home one of my favorite qualities of Sera, the depth of her emotions. She hides nothing and is so honest it hurts her. It's really great writing. I mean, the Inquisitor is so important to her that the thought of losing her drives her to such despair that she's not sure that they can be together. That's intense. Also I love that if Sera and her Quizzy stay together at the end of the conversation (which my Adaar and Sera were able to do, YAY) Sera tackles her right in front of everyone. Classic Sera, gotta love it.

@FemHawke: Yup! I really liked that scene. I was surprised when I saw it at first. I was surprised, because Sera was scared of a nightmare, but then I understood she cares so much for Inquisitor that a simple dream about her dying scared her.
Too bad it's a "final" romance scene with her (except the ending). Wish we could have more...

I'm not sure, but looking at my screenshots, it happened after the fade and Halamshiral. Maybe it's contingent on having done those two story missions?
