Leliana and Sera are... well... You CAN NOT choose one or the other. In a game where both are companions, I'd probably end up running a three-Rogue set up. Whoosh. Imagine that. Two archers and one DW Rogue. I guess I'd pick up a Mage, then.

 

Count on the old strategy of not needing a tank, because everything's dead before it even starts attacking.

Sera ruined me, not just for any other romance, but for playing any Inquisitor but my Lavellan. I tried creating a Qunari to romance her, and it just didn't seem right. Had to delete the game and roll up a new Whisper.

Can anyone here link me pics to sliders of a FemQunari, I for love nor money can make even a decent looking FemQunari, and well I don't really want to do a playthrough with an ugly ass inquisitor just to romance sera, thats like 80 hours of ugly just to get some different and hopefully funny/interesting dialogue, thanks

I have a confession to make: Never really used Sera as a Tempest (thousand cuts, fire flask). Respec'd her last night for the final dlc boss fight and holy beejeebers!!! Does she deal ridiculous amounts of damage in that mode especially as she had that Dal Vallashin bow and level 4 armor! I feel like my party now, especially her, and my quiz are pretty god like. I pity Corypheus. He has no idea what is coming to him. No idea! I am just laughing so hard at how you can max her out in game!

if you tell Sera to go all thousand cuts on his ass, the mission will crash because he'll die earlier before the quizzy will get her change.

Ok so would it be best to disable that in tactics then before the fight? I do now recall reading something about not letting her use that in the final battle and now I see the reason. That's pretty funny!

I thought you always had to trigger focus abilities yourself...

I did that before the boss fight last night. However I felt she still was not using them so I switched over to her from my Quiz and made her use them. That Fire Flask thing proved particularly effective. So they may tell you to set it to "preferred" but I did not feel she was using those with frequency even after I set her to do so. Might be buggy.

From memory they're just set to disabled by default in tactics. So you can enable them to function like normal abilities if so inclined, for giggles or something.

 

Not that I've tried it.

Flask of Fire isn't a focus ability. Focus abilities have black backgrounds with a yellow/gold picture and there's one per specialisation. Sera's is Thousand Cuts. Makes sense. I was thinking of disabling thousand cuts for the Cory fight so I can manually take control of her and get her to use it at the right time so she doesn't crash the scene i.e. the second round with Cory or maybe during the dragon fight.

I actually didn't have that problem because I'd just killed the Highland Ravager with Thousand Cuts so Sera's focus was depleted, which I forgot about until the final fight was underway. It didn't matter much as I managed to defeat him without it...

I have to say that I haven't found any of the final boss fights in DA games particularly hard. By that time you're generally levelled up and have a good awareness of the tactics you need, so it's just a question of grinding away.
