I'm curious as to how much a difference the hefty cold resistance you can build over the course of the game makes. I practically built Skyhold atop the corpses of a thousand bears and went through the Temple of Pride so I can get zapped, burned, frozen and haunted and come out on top. I refuse to let these ice-spitting death eaters do me in!

I had to craft everybody armor made with Avvar Cotten before I could manage to not have everybody die against those bastards. HATE. THEM. SO. MUCH.

So while I was on my way to the Exalted Plains' dragon territory when I got the banter between Sera and Cassandra about Cassandra's full name. I love the way those two get along, they're so cute together.

Does anyone have a theory about what's Sera's deal with dragons?

She freaks out at even tiny amounts of magic but when it comes to dragons she practically pulls a Iron Bull and gets aroused. It's fun to hear her fan girl about the winged monstrosities but I would actually want to understand why she has such a passion for them.

Currently I'm going with the theory that's she a long-lost Targaryen. Makes sense right.  :P

Maybe. Or maybe she's actually a half elf-qunari hybrid!

Yep. That just makes the most sense. Has to be true.

no wonder she's totally crazy (in a good way)... imagine trying to come to grips with that kind of heritage?

Sera has such a joyous reaction with killing dragons because they are like the powerful nobles who punch down on the little people, only 100 times more punchy, and powerful. Putting them in their place is dream works for Sera! At least thats my interpretation. 43399.gif

Bah. Dragons are just one more life form being oppressed by nobles.

Also, Sera's a de facto noble now. I wonder how much she's thought about that, if at all.

Just because she's Buckle's lover doesn't mean she's noble in any way. She may have a nobles ear if that quizzy is Travellen, but that doesn't necessarily give her any power over anyone else, or control over any lands.

I actually meant that, given the whole "slaughtered to near extinction" thing and the fact that nearly all dragon hunters are noble. But funny is nice too.

The Inquisitor is more than a noble; they're effectively royalty in control of a pseudo-nation. And while Sera might not have direct control over much except her own networks, she has a lot more resources and influence than any of her former peers could ever have had.

Damn Pentaghasts keeping those defenseless dragons down.

She'd probably be offended by the very idea. Just look at this banter.

  • Iron Bull:So, you and the boss huh?
  • Sera:I know right?
  • Iron Bull:Didn't think you were the kind to bed your way to power.
  • Sera: Hey! You take that back!
  • Iron Bull: What? I didn't mean anything by it!
  • Sera: But this matters. You don't talk ****** about what matters.
  • Iron Bull: So it matters, huh? Good to know.

Hey now what matters is subjective after all. For some ancient elven history matters and for others finding ways to annoy Vivienne matters. We're all right in our own way. Sort of.

It's Sera claiming we shouldn't talk **** about what matters. Either she's one of the most unselfaware people imaginable, or "what matters" only applies to her and certainly not a Dalish.

I'm referring to what she says about an elf Inquisitor's religion after What Pride Had Wrought.

Oh, what a beautiful morn- Oh, snap. Xil's going at it again.

I don't even have the strength to explain anything anymore.

I'll just tactically facepalm in peace, if the rest of you don't mind.

In the post-Mythal scene, I would not describe her as "talking p*ss". She really thinks that she's right, and she's really scared of losing her love.

However, if you want something that does make that Bull banter look hypocritical:

(If Inquisitor is in a relationship with Solas)

Sera: So, you and the Lady Inquisitor. Interesting.
Solas: Your interest is not my concern.
Sera: That's all right, because I meant boring. The elf always takes the elf so that banging bits will mean something.
Solas: It is not a topic for discussion.
Sera: Oh, come on. Drop 'em and rebuild the empire. Phwoar!
Inquisitor: Sera! No more!
Sera: Hmph! Fine. Whatever.
Solas: Don't concern yourself, vhenan. She is… apart from herself.

Or

Inquisitor: (Laughter) You're ridiculous.
Sera: Not me. It's him! And you.
Solas: Only one of us is looking sad and foolish, Sera.
Sera: Oh, go twang your ears!

I mean, it's in character, but the difference is that she gets on with Bull and not with Solas. I guess you only "don't talk p*ss" if you like both the people in the relationship...
