I dont mind plot choice achievements so much. I am definitely a completionist. I find a game I really like and work my butt off to get all the achievements. I tend to play my first playthrough of a game completely blind and choose things that I would likely choose. I like making different choices in my second playthrough to see how it affects my playthrough. There are some choices that I have yet to see the consequences of though. I have not let the empress die or banished the wardens yet. I like games with many plot choices and consequences. I am currently playing an 'evil' inquisitor and it breaks my heart everytime I walk past Krem's chair and remember he is dead (never letting the chargers die again)
Yeah I just don't do that because a lot of that isn't fun for me, like making choices I don't want to make because I'd experience different content that I don't want to experience. That just seems like the acme of pointlessness.
Exploring extra areas? Cool. Finding hidden objects? Of course. Killing all the unique enemies? Done. Experimenting with different combat playstyles? Sure. Playing the highest difficulties? Sign me up. Experiencing all the conversations with companions or whatever? Totes down.
But getting plot cheevos for, say, backing Caesar's Legion or drinking the scary magickal slave water or becoming a werewolf, that sort of thing...not cool.
I understand why plot-choice cheevos exist, but I think that they're stupid, and as constructed they generally mean that getting them would make the game significantly less fun for me, so I don't get them.
