So I realized I have an "issue" with completing my current playthrough, I just want to go back to Skyhold and hang out with Sera on the roof all the time. I can't help it my Adaar and Sera are too cute together.
That is a perfectly acceptable issue. ![]()

I probably would have played this game about as much as Skyrim (twice) if it wasn't for the Sera romance, probably the cutest romance I've ever done. Lels will always be my first game romance and I've played it so many times, more than any other game, never get tired of lels comments.
The bit of aggressiveness, playfulness and just plain cuteness of Sera's romance just makes me crumble.
This made me cackle so loud for some reason.
I know whyyyy....
I was pretty disappointed that Harding wasn't an option for us! And I'm probably a little weird here, but I also wished Dagna was some sort of option as well! I am happy with Sera though, even my Lavellan gets along famously with her!
Dagna is pure adorableness wrapped in a layer of Mad Science.
I had the fraught scene with her after the well so question: Is it that much worse if you drink than it already is if Morrigan does?
If you drink from the Well, she's afraid that the woman she loves has become a demon. So yeah, kinda?
The sad thing is if you actually finish the game, you don't get these extra scenes anymore.
My human archer still refuses to kill Coriphyspit and save the world and crap because of this.
This quote should be printed and stuck somewhere at the Bio office.

In DA:O, we moders fixed things like this, and many of the bugs they wouldn't. Unfortunately, those days are long gone since EA hates moders.

I think it's more that they're indifferent to modders.

Personally I'd rather they dropped the play after the ending thing, but I doubt that will happen either.
Nah, the general attitude in the Executive ranks of EA is that player created content reduces the % of profit their products produce. They don't care for moders at all.

If that's true then it means they're terminally stupid, given the endurance of both Skyrim and Civ 5.
However, as mod support doesn't guarantee a game's success either and is far from free to implement, I don't see why it needs to be about EA actively hating modders.
One thing that I have to say for Sera's romance is that her character deals with issues like morality, identity, and the place of individuals in society far more than Josephine's does... or, indeed, most other characters in the inner circle. I also think that I'm willing to agree with her philosophy in broad strokes, but with some fairly serious disagreements with certain aspects of it.

What parts do you agree with?
I agree with your first point. One thing I noticed with Sera is that the Inquisitor's race is taken into account a lot more than with others (especially in a romance). I like that with a human/elf she'll talk about some of the social perceptions surrounding the romance (how elves are expected to go for other elves only and how humans look down on other humans who date elves, etc.)
These type of things don't get brought up much if at all in other ones.
Beyond race, all Inquisitors can address the issue of status with Sera (idk if that even happens with other companions but from the ones I've seen it doesn't). It makes the relationship feel so much more realistic.
That race isn't important... unless the whole magical elven blood somehow makes it moreso, in which case I might disagree. But I do like the fact that race is taken into account, even though I'm not entirely fond of how it is. She addresses this if you romance her as a human too?
I also agree that the aristocracy sucks.
With a human Inquisitor, Sera mocks the humans that make a big deal about a human dating an elf and she wonders if the Inquisitor has any problems with that.
I don't recall that being addressed much with other elf/human pairings in the series. I believe Merrill mentions something about it briefly if she moves in with Hawke.

It makes Sera much more interesting. Josie, please forgive me, is a bit of a bore.
