I confess that I found it lacking when I did a run with a qunari. I had to erase that one because it did not fit at all, surprising(or not) it did go well with Sera.
Josephine romance is just different and perfect for a noble with machiavellianism tendencies. It is actually my canon save, I just love it.

Interesting. How does the Machiavellian tendencies factor into the romance? I'd imagine that Josie would hate such an attitude. Are you talking about the decision to use Leliana's method to deal with the House of Repose?

I am talking actually about Josephine, I know it is surprising but she can be ruthless and even manipulative when she needs to be, to get ahead.
Also I said tendencies, most of the time my canon PC is a romantic in a shiny armor lol

I agree with your first point. One thing I noticed with Sera is that the Inquisitor's race is taken into account a lot more than with others (especially in a romance). I like that with a human/elf she'll talk about some of the social perceptions surrounding the romance (how elves are expected to go for other elves only and how humans look down on other humans who date elves, etc.)
These type of things don't get brought up much if at all in other ones.
Beyond race, all Inquisitors can address the issue of status with Sera (idk if that even happens with other companions but from the ones I've seen it doesn't). It makes the relationship feel so much more realistic.

Aside from that, I can't help but be slightly annoyed by Leliana being a sort of gatekeeper to the romance with her sneering dialogue lol.
Lmao. Man..... thank god Sera exists in this game. The rest of companions are way too serious and not much funny at all and if she wasn't there, they'd be hella boring tbh.
Sera is the one who brings out the best of them and you can clearly see that in banters.

Anyhoo, I agree about the banter. I think she's often the foil of a lot of the conversations that go on in the party, though there are instances when some other shine a bit. I don't like most of Vivi's banter with most of the companions, but I love her back and forth with Dorian.
I'd sign up for those "simple pleasures!" I can just hear Viv's tone there too.

Sera has the best banter in the game. I like that she has fun and silly banters with the more serious/broody party members. I always have her in my party to lighten the mood. I think Sera said it best ' not everything has to be torn skies and ancient arseholes.' I also love her random comments in certain areas and during side quests. One of my favorite comments of hers is after you dump some guys ashes off a cliff in the emerald graves, she sputters and coughs and says that it got in her mouth.
I remember Snooks got a line from Sera when he entered into some cave: "You go first. I'll avenge you."
Been trying to get that line dammit.
I got it going into the big cave on Hakkon but I am not sure if it's just triggered there or just happens at some random point. I only heard it there though. I remember thinking I'd like to have been able to respond "Well Cassandra's got the big weapon so let's push her in first!"

I remember that! I got it when I was entering some cave in the Western Approach. It was in the middle of the plains-ey bit, about half way between that oasis in the Approach and Griffon Wing Keep.

Her deeper insights seem to come more in one on one convos it's true. On the trail she's the comedic relief. At least that's how she is written.
