I've always wondered how Sera would deal with an atheist Inquisitor girlfriend. How I see it, she'd either be totally cool or...not. I noticed you kinda bring it up a bit in your fic The Cook, which I really loved, by the way!

Thanks! My stories are a bit lighter, though - yours are practically "Inquisition Of Thrones" by comparison! 
One of my yet-to-be-written stories is intended to cover Isileth's backstory a bit more. The first two I did, The Forest and The Judgement, are sort of AU tales now as they were written before the game came out... so what's in them isn't entirely in my 'headcanon' any more.
But Sera... once you get a hold of (your version of) her voice, she's a joy!
Poor old Sera. I feel so mean taking her to the fade...

Something I noticed, but in the aftermath of Here Lies The Abyss, if you go to talk to Sera, you can see her holding what appears to be a sextant while she's standing there before selecting the interact button, which I believe is what she tries to toss at you when you talk to her if you took her into the Fade.

I write Sera rather "guh, words are hard! Feelings are hard!" I've had more fun writing that type of character than I ever thought possible. As for "Inquisition of Thrones," LOL, never thought of them that way! We're out of my Inquisitor's angstiness, at least--now it's just straight up shipper stuff. More to come, hopefully this weekend or next week! And let me know when you post more fics!
Speaking of fic, has anyone else discovered (Tell Me) The Colour of the Rain? It's a really beautiful Sera fic about her dealing with her feelings about the Dalish. I mean, I'm only one chapter in, but I'm still recommending it because it's JUST THAT GOOD.
As for the Fade, ugh, I felt so bad for her! But from a character perspective, I liked hearing what she saw in the Fade. It really adds an extra dimension to her that I didn't quite get on my first playthrough when I just read her gravestone.
That part of the scene was really glitchy for me. It was hard for me to tell what happened because of the way it was animated. I always thought she was trying to punch Inky because she was angry about the fade. That does make more sense though. I always wondered what she was holding and why she would try to punch Quizzy when she had something in her hands. I really like what that writer has done with Sera's characterization in their Sera fics. They add lots of depth to her character and I just love their writing style. It's funny how one word can shake you out of your enjoyment of something for a moment. The author in that fic uses the term "candy" which is just so American, and it jars with the rest of what Sera says which consists primarily of British idioms. There's a similar example in-game when she says "a seat needs a butt." These should just be minor things but they always take my head out of the narrative for a second. I suppose being a Brit I simply notice them more.
All that said, I agree. It's really well written. The author has a very good sense of the characters' voices.

On an entirely unrelated (except for it being about Sera) note, I created a Guarded Longbow Grip for Sera in my current playthrough and named it "Knuckles Deep", because I'm five.

I really love Sera's dialogue in that scene. I also like how she calls your Inquisitor pretty while using it as an excuse for believing all of the crazy stuff that is happening.
