Fanboyness. I think I'm doing it right.
Yes, yes you are.

You know how people say that Sera has the human body type? Well she doesn't. Except when you put Qunari DLC armour on her. It's not a big difference but if you flick between two armour types in the selection screen you can see that she gets slimmer in her normal armour than with the Antaam-saar on. If however you go to craft the Antaam-saar and flick between her and Cass, they have exactly the same body shape.
It's not much, and nowhere near as bad as the massive hole that appears in Bull's neck if you put the Shokra-taar on him, but it's another thing to add to the list of mistakes in the Spoils of the Qunari DLC...
The lack of communication out of the SP side of Development is a bit concerning to me, especially when the MP devs are quite active with us in the Beta forum. All the issues with the SotQ and not a single word from BioWare? Concerning.

I suspect that a secondary team has put these armour DLCs together as most of their effort is put into the new story DLC that is supposed to be coming, but I agree. A little communication wouldn't go amiss.
Well, clearly someone has dropped the ball, multiple people actually, the ones who designed/modeled and those that approved it.

For science: what happens to a female elf Inquisitor equipping the armor?

Just to satisfy your scientific curiosity...

Normal elves have their normal elfy shape. I think the problem is that both Bull and Sera have their own unique body shapes and whoever made the armour didn't take that into account.

It seems likely. Though did vanilla faction armor have the same issue? I'm assuming they only did the unique companion builds because they were making all their armor designs unique as well. So giving the generic armor additional variations for different companions might have been out of the budget.
Though I'm not a fan of that armor, or faction armors generally.

There are a few issues with the Qunari DLC armour, and paradoxically they are worse for Qunari inquisitors. You can't tint certain of the armours as a Qunari, and there is a visible join at the neck for qunari inquisitors in both the light and heavy armour.
Here you can see it on my recently made Qunari Inquisitor to romance Dorian. It's not that bad for him, compared to other Qunari inquisitor's that I've seen, but you can make out the join.

I don't think I'll use the light armour much, but I am finding it amusing to have a Tal-Vashoth mage "Herald of Andraste" wander around in Arishok gear. Deliciously wrong on so many levels...

Y'know... I'm grateful there is a Qunari armor in a state of disrepair rather than a Qunari armor in a state of complete absence...
But I'm kind of sad that it's in a state of disrepair. Definitely not buying until they apply a patch. Does the Avvar pack suffer from similar bugs? If not, I'll just go ahead and buy it first opportunity. Show them I'm willing to buy good content, yeah?
I'm not aware of bugs in the Avvar armour, but I never bought that one. It didn't seem appropriate for any of my inquisitors or the companions.
Imtiyaz had a chat with Sera. Got a Slightly Approves. Always good, yeah?

I couldn't tint it at all.

Well, Sera is big on Qunari (women particularly, but y'know) I bet ya that they can say whatever they want and she would approve. ![]()

Oh, yours was a Qunari. Try with an Elf wearing the fugliest coat in all of Thedas, I'll call it an ACHIEVEMENT.
