Was anyone else surprised at Sera in a dress for your wedding?! I kinda was. And the dress was so...normal-looking. I mean, I guess it makes sense since she's been thinking about asking you for a while, but it just took me aback for a second. You know, before I started squeeing.

It was a little off putting that my inquisitor was not dressed for the event... so I re-did it and put on an outfit that would work best.

I don't want to retire, I don't want to join the Friends of Red Jenny, I don't want anything except to fulfill the Dalish quest for knowledge and restore the elvhen, preferably without killing all of the ones in the world right now. So, from what I've gleaned of Trespasser, there's only one thing I want.

To work on implementing Solas' plan to fix the world in a less destructive manner. I don't want to retire, I don't want to join the Friends of Red Jenny, I don't want anything except to fulfill the Dalish quest for knowledge and restore the elvhen, preferably without killing all of the ones in the world right now. Will Sera join in on this?

I seriously doubt it. Sera despises people that try to force the past on the present. She sees nothing wrong with herself and so resents the "elfy" notion that theres something wrong with her that needs to be fixed. She would say let the old elven empire stay dead, theres nothing wrong with the world as it is now. She likes and is attracted to other races and she cares about the common person so she would never approve of a plan that eliminates or harms in anyway any of the races.

 

I'd imagine that Sera would consider Sola's plan elitist and heartless. Valuing his "true" elves over all others while looking down on everyone else as somehow incomplete. Sera despises this kind of person.

 

You do realize that Solas plan would effectively kill the Dalish too? Any elf thats following him is effectively committing suicide along with genocide. Solas is not planning on lifting up the Dalish to become true elves. He plans on breaking the vale, watching the world burn, and the reforming his world from the ashes of the old. The old elven world will be reformed simply because Solas wills it into being, that is the nature of the fade. All the elves that currently exist are going to die along with the rest of thedas..

and thats my point exactly, sera would definitely hate anyone would told her it was a fact that she is incomplete and needs to be fix. Whatever powers and gifts the original elves had, she doesn't want it or need it. She thinks the Dalish, if anything, should drop their obsession with restoring their lost heritage and trying to force it on other elves (its how she sees it) and help people instead.

 

For that matter, its why Sera feels so at home in the inquisition. She found a group that doesn't dictate how people should live but is instead just dedicated to helping everyone.

 

As for me personally, I can understand any elf that follows Solas and is willing to die so that the elven people can be restored to their former glory. However, I find that this notion is an illusion. The old Elven empire was one in which the vast majorty of elves were slaves to nobles who were ruled by a handful of god like super mages. Restoring the old elven world would not change the nature of people and so I imagine history would just repeat itself. I think its a terrible plan. I prefer the vale to stay intact since I do not think people are capable of handling the god like power of the fade.

I guess you could try telling her that it would destroy Solas' greatest achievement and stop him from killing everyone at the same time. Might want to leave out the bit about restoring the elvhen though.

I also don't know if I'll be importing an elf PC at all, as I'll likely prefer to have one for the next DA game, but I don't know if Eiria could canonically stand to not do more to directly deal with Solas, and not necessarily in a violent manner; the end of Trespasser seems like such a whimper.

 

Also... if you don't recruit Vivienne, I have to wonder if she actually shows up in the epilogue about creating a new Circle.

Did not romance Sera, but i did her personal quest with pranks in the original game, her card did change, but no roof cutscene. Then i kind of screwed up relationships with her while talking about fade quest or something else, i don`t know i always got her disapproval, cause i don`t understand what she wants at all. So i had no prank scene in dlc. And i had final that mentions she left and didn't find friends in inquisition, though she still romanced Dagna. Maybe no one mentioned this ending so i wanted to share. And yeah, it did hurt, i thought we were buddies...

How about you ask the people of Thedas whether they'd even want such a world first. Call a great exalted council and argue your points about a world that had no Veil. You'd probably almost everyone is going to be against you, and for good reason. While the world is technically in an unnatural state, its in a state that most people are fine with and would prefer to remain. Just because Solas is experiencing some culture shock doesn't mean the entire world needs to be destroyed or even changed.

 

Anyways, the ancient elvhen isn't worth restoring, but actively helping modern elves though is something I'm sure that Sera could be talked into doing, especially in light of her commit to stop bothering with constantly being defensive about the Dalish.

actually there is a wartable mission that can lead to these two nobles getting married for love, if you go to Val Royel or however it's spelt, you can be there to bless their wedding, the woman wears this dress, while the man wears a matching white formal wear, seems the lady inquisitor who marries cullen wears the same dress
