I have to confess that since I knew this dlc dealt with a Qun invasion, and that given that Bull was a Qun agent, that when I raced through my current game to get to Trespasser I deliberately sacrificed the Chargers to see the effect on Bull for later. I also made sure he had decent weapons and armor to make it an interesting fight. I was not disappointed in the former but I ended up disappointed in the latter despite my best efforts. Bull went down fast.

Which was freaking hilarious! Bull knew all along but played along with them and feigned surprise, he really cares for them (another reason to tell the Qun to pisss off)!

I may have a save where Bull saves the Chargers and I am certain I have one saved char where I never did the Qun story arc at all. If I do, indeed, still have them I might play those out and see how it pans out.

The positive of greater representation for me as a straight white male is that I get to explore life from other perspectives. The chance for others to play games from their own point of view for once gives me the chance to experience a bit of what that's like. I just don't see the downside...

 

I feel the same way - if I want to play a guy, I already LARP as one 24/7.

 

I kind of got tired of Viv's comments in the regular game, so that effected me some.

After Viv makes a nice comment to Inky about the marriage I hoped things would be different. When they went through the mirror and I got the prompt for the Sera comment where she mentions that this wasn't what she was hoping her honeymoon would be like, Viv takes another shot at Sera. After hearing Cass's sweet talk about how Sera looked in her gown and Sera makes a comment about Josie wanting her to pick out a fluffy gown, it was so cute. At least that's what I remember, I knew that when you stick your hand in a flame, it's going to burn but I did it anyway. Viv annoys me something fierce.

 

This makes me glad that I wasn't taking Viv along for any of the adventures in this. And I loved the dialogue Sera and Cass had there so much.

I'd given him pretty good armor, at least lvl 3, and a lvl 3 weapon, but Cass and I were hitting him at the same time and the enhanced rift abilities they give you really pack a punch on enemies. What I might try is engaging him and then standing back after a bit to let him take on Cass or Blackwall and see if that holds him up longer. The funny thing is after he went down the fights with the Qun mobs got considerably harder. Odd that.

So... story ideas.  I have some for pre-Inquisition stories; "Day In The Life", a set of little steps along the way, starting with "The Day She Left" and ending with "The Day It Happened".  Have a few ideas for some of the other chapters.

 

I have a post-Trespasser idea as well, involving Kirkwall and Merrill's eluvian.  Working title "Mirror, Mirror".

 

So there's that.

It was a difficult decision, but I think that my elven mage might actually let Morrigan drink from the Well of Sorrows, for two reasons. One is metagaming; given that DAI showed that Bioware is willing to kill off its own PCs, I'm quite worried that something bad would happen to the Inquisitor later. For another, I realized that letting Morrigan have the powers of the Well would actually be a better way to bring back the old world, as she wants to do that anyway; if she can interpret the Well better, more might get done, and I could keep her secured as a potential ally in the future. That, at least, is my IC train of thought.

I have no idea... but it does seem like a good one to do.  It probably works best as a noodle incident with just a punchline, though

My Inquisitor has chosen to try to stop Solas but to redeem him at the same time. The Inquisition has been turned over to the Chantry in order to defy Orlais and Ferelden (F you Alaistair!!) Cass has remained at my Inquisitor's side however I did not get a marriage scene (Bioware, wtf?!!). Cole has returned to the Fade. Cullen is the military adviser to the Divine. Josephine has become a business woman in Antiva. Leliana, Cassandra and my Inquisitor have decided to find agents who are unknown to Solas to stop him and I have stabbed a dagger into the heart of Tevinter on the war table. Sera has returned to the Red Jennies and someone named "Widdle" whoever that is?! Guess the next game is about Inquisition agents attempting to stop Solas in Tevinter?

It's weird that you can't marry a non-divine Cassandra. I guess I can understand it in a way as she'd want a proper huge "romantic" ceremony instead of some rushed thing at the Winter Palace, but still... Odd.

It is indeed. Pretty inoffensive familial slang, though. I guess she thinks it sounds cute...
