Thank you both!  I'll be careful, and just make it a priority to play the DLC!

 

Trespasser is wicked, it actually gives the game a main plot worth having. Haven't bothered with Descent but apparently it has significant lore things people keep mentioning.

It's also IMO the most beautiful of all the areas in the game.

That was something I really liked about Trespasser. Not just that it was beautiful , but as you were journeying through the areas you could really appreciate that and see how the world was part of the story.

It seems like he is thinking of acting within years not decades, which makes me think he will show up again sooner rather than later, but I could be wrong. As long as he isn't abandoned...

I don't. If Dragon Age wastes another decent plot hook I'll actually flip a table. A small, lightweight, undesirable table bought specially for the occasion maybe, but still.

Uh...I don't think they're going to be able to hold Solas out of the next game and keep this fanbase happy now that he has, basically, threatened to blow up the world with his Illudium q-36 explosive space modulator

So I decided to replay the last scenes of Trespasser with my Adaar and had her disband the Inquisition instead of making it a peacekeeping force. Felt it made more sense for her character, plus she has more time to spend with her wifey Also I might have just wanted to listen to Cassandra impersonate Sera again

It made me much happier that Tressa got Vivienne as Divine, which I'd previously seen as the only major blot on her story. Let the politician play at politics while we get on with doing what must be done outside of her control. I'm decided now that Tressa's story will be my canon story for the game, which is the first time that's happened with my initial character in any DA or ME title.

I did the opposite. I gave the Inquisition to Vivienne knowing that at least it would be preserved and wielded by an strong person. There was no way I was letting it go to Celene or that non-entity Alaister and his horrible wife. I was gratified at the end to see that this meant Cassandra, Leliana and I were left free to plot how to get to, and stop, Solas which gives me hope that the Inquisition, if not the Inquisitor, plays a large part in the next game

I just can not, ever, in any lifetime, let Vivienne become Divine. She (and others like her) is one of the things wrong with the way the circles were ran. WHile I like her well enough as a character, I'd put Sera on the throne before her. Hey wait, she would actually likely make a great Divine!

I suspect the next game will feature a protagonist (initially) unknowingly serving the Inquisition's interests i.e. getting someone Solas doesn't know to move against him.

 

If the DA4 allows it you can be damn sure I'll be playing an elf next time, as that just seems the most appropriate to me.

There's not much in the other two DLCs that is directly relevant to the main plot, but it's probably worth pointing out that while the others can take place either during the main game or straight after defeating Corypheus, Trespasser takes place two years afterwards, has its own ending slides and is considered the end of DAI. This means that you can't go on and play the others afterwards without reloading a pre-Trespasser save.
