Wha-what?
Really? It works for qunari females for real?
....
That's.... very.... tempting.... now. Even though I've finished the game with Isileth... arg.
Here's my qunari, fully tinted and skin tones that match. Not the most flattering picture of her face, I've added a close up of her.

I always wanted that honour T_T

well pretty is a completely subjective value judgement, and my opinion really isn't anything to care about or be honored by. But yours is pretty as well

True enough. By no means am I endorsing the way I look at things; I was a bit curious if anyone else felt the same way, though.
depends on the headcannon for me. Like I would never think of cassandra wearing impractical armor, its just not her personality. (she could definitely pull it off though). So for me it depends on what kind of person the Inquisitor is.
Also what is the mission? For example, if I'm taking Vivienne on a diplomatic mission, where there may be trouble but we aren't going into battle, I could easily see her wearing something more fashionable and revealing than practical. However if going into battle, I definitely think Viv is going for practical mage war, still trying to keep some fashion of course, 'darling' after all, she is who she is, but much more practical.
and I always assumed Qunari were resistant to temperatures more than ordinary humans or elves, but I guess I don't know if that is actually stated in the lore somewhere.

Thank you Dgyre, Sera certainly seems to like her.

Yeah, definitely looks to be working.... and now I have to decide if it's worth buying "for" a "finished" character.
Oh, and nice qunari lady ![]()

in terms of elves, I never minded the "twig arms" and I have never bought into the "muscled is sexy" trope so the Qunari armour doesn't do much for me. It just makes them look off. I also think it seems a bit weird in Emprise, but then so does anything Bull can wear. In the end though I like that there are plenty of options from which people can choose.
Snip
I look at Sera and Solas and see how BioWare presented them and have to think that they were making them more attractive to players, in their view. I don't think it's just so they can use the human armor, also I think the elf would have looked off, if they left her as is in the qunari armor. Really she isn't all that muscled she just looks a little more defined. The human in the armor still looks bigger bodied and the qunari much bigger bodied. Really though it's whatever someone likes that matters, for me it just makes her look a little more like Sera and Solas. I just love the look.

The only problem I have with the Qunari armors is that they are impractical to anyone that has not been trained under the Qun. Supposedly they wear armor like this because of the heat, but train their skin to be damage resistant.
A art I know some buddhist martial artists practice IRL, although I assume to less extreme extend.

Yeah no criticism of your tastes was intended from here. We don't all like the same thing, and that's cool.
It's not just Sera and Solas. Iron Bull also has a different body shape to the standard Qunari. I think they just all had a little more detail lavished on them by the designers and got their own body meshes.

Oh, I didn't mean for it to sound like I took it as criticism, it's just allows me to get into the character more, it's a bit difficult to picture my elf as a warrior or even a dual blade rogue, she just seemed to slight to have much force. The armor isn't practical but it serves one purpose for me, I can connect to the character more. Well two actually, she does look wowza too me.

I got that banter that Nub was talking about the other day.
Spoiler
That bit of dialogue made Trespasser for me and it also reinforced my love for both Sera and Cassandra as characters. I knew BioWare had hit a home run with this dlc when I heard that.
As for weather appropriate armor. I do sometimes do this in rpg's. I am anal about playing like that so I get where Xil is coming from. I do sometimes change their outfits when I can. I know in the last game that when I was going to war-table meetings or to judge someone I chose a military/armor outfit from the skyhold dresser (after the last patch) and I chose a less formal lounge outfit for running out to smootch with Cassandra. I suppose some could care less but it makes it more immersive to me. But everyone has their own play-style and how you roll is as valid as anyone else's method.

Well, my qunari Inquisitor can romance Sera in the game itself with no problems. My elf Inquisitor... well, I'd need to write a hell of a lot more dialogue for her if that relationship was going to be remotely realistic, as the broad strokes dialogue in the game itself doesn't cover any of the topics I'd want to.

On that subject, the first chapter of my new fic series "Day In The Life" is now up. Chapter one is "The Day She Left". There will be no Sera (
) as it is a prequel project but people might be interested nonetheless.
