Sera never struck me as someone who was fighting for any particular ideological new world, but rather specifically against those she deems most oppressive.

While I don't think that she subscribes to any of the ideologies above exactly, I do think that one of her key beliefs is that no one is intrinsically better than others simply by dint of their birth or race, which kind of ties her into those ways of thinking a bit. Shame we never went to a proper living Dwarven city in Inquisition. I bet she'd've hated it.

By the standards of this site that was not an argument.

It was more a comment on the cyclic nature of topics than the intensity.

That and I'd just stepped out of a thread debating the use of Russian names for ME protagonists.

Oh I saw that one, but I don't tend to weigh in on the ME forums much. My thought was that purely from a practical standpoint if they went with Tereshkova they'd need to use Tereshkov for a male protagonist which would mean extra VA work...

Ha. I like that, "we're okay with tributes to Russians but we can only afford the ones with non-gendered surnames".

Until there is some more concrete information from BioWare about Andromeda I haven't seen much point in that forum. I peek in there from time to time but it's mostly a lot of conjecture and bickering about things we really don't know a whole lot about at this point. I do miss posting around here though so I look in from time to time to see what is going on.

Too bad, because they also add "Ova" at the end of female surnames here.

So, yup. That'd be neat, but I'll settle for non-slavic names and such.

How I think Sera views Dagna.

Varric: So, you and Dagna, huh. Didn't think you'd hook up with someone whose title is Arcanist.

Sera: She's dwarfy, so she can't be magey. Which means she won't go all demony if she messes with weirdy magic.

Varric: Still though, she's going to be tinkering with magic. Like all the time. That doesn't bother you at all?

Sera: Pffft. No. Why would it?

Varric: Uh, because you're you and Cassandra says you freak out at the tiniest spell.

Sera: Dagna's different, alright.

Varric: Come on Sera. You got to give better details than that if I'm ever going to start my "Dagna and Bee" comedy serial.

Sera: Weirdy. Fine.

Sera: Dagna's smart, like super smart, smarter than me (don't laugh!), smarter than you and probably smarter than Baldy McSmartyparts. Like, I bet you didn't even know that red lyrium is sensitive to silverite. She can also make runes that can do anything, make dwarfy crystal things that send messages anywhere, she can fix anything and make them even better. She even enchanted my bow to shot bees, Varric, freaking bees! And she did it all because she wanted to make me laugh. She's also funny, nice,  exciting, helpful, cute, super cute, squishy cute and brave, Varric, she's the bravest there is and not just because all the magey stuff. When the stupid dwarfy dwarfs in Orza-whatever told her that she couldn't do what we wanted to do, she told them to suck it and left. Then, she went to some creepy mage tower, told everyone there they didn't know shite and burned away a bunch of scary demon crap growing on the walls there because she's smart and not afraid of anything and if she's not afraid then... then maybe I shouldn't be either.

Varric: I must say I'm shocked...

Sera: Yes, well, now you know. Dagna's the best and I love her. Mark that I said it.

Varric: That someone actually managed to teach you something.

Sera: Ass!

I kinda liked Sera and Dagna. Even if we never actually see them interact first hand, I thought Sera's thing for her was cute.

Of course, I'm still personally in a very "post-Scout Harding" frame of mind after Trespasser. So Sera getting her own happy ending with an adorable dwarf really felt like Bioware rubbing salt in the wound. JERKS.

Yeah, it's unfortunate we don't get to see them interact like Blackwall/Josephine or Dorian/Iron Bull, but the non-romanced Sera journal entry in Trespasser at least explains why Sera's attracted to her.

Chances are Harding well show up in DA 4 so here's to hoping that an Inquisitor/Harding romance is acknowledged there.

so i found a thing. audio clip of sera talking about the Mythal fight if you broke up. and 1. it hurts my soul a bit the idea of breaking up with her. but it really shows how much she grew? and i'm not sure if you guys have heard it (or experienced it) but here.. a great moment though, I'm sure some needed this closure.. having an option to get back together would've been great but hey you get angst.

Yes, that would be great. Unfortunately that would necessitate it being recorded in the Keep and sadly I get the distinct impression my repeated protestations about that issue in the feedback section will have been for naught.

Wow. I wonder how many people actually heard that in-game? You had to romance her as an elf, split up after Mythal, not kick her out and then import that save into Trespasser...

It almost sounded as if Sera had regrets and wanted to repair things and the Inq wants distance at the end. That was sad. Glad I heard it here. Don't think I could stand it in game.  :(

Yeah, it shows some great development. Clearly that Inky made the wrong choice at the end of that bit of dialogue though ;)

Minor tangent: in Trespasser, after Inky and Sera are done throwing pies at everyone, do you think they made out through the whipped cream? *ponders*

yeah that is a terrible choice at the end... but the choice where the inky says "its a shame how it ended" it sorta makes it sound like they both regret but its too late now because of dagna right?  :crying:

That's an interesting question: Does she get with Dagna if you break up with her? I wouldn't know 'cos I'd never do it.

I would assume in gameplay mechanics it's just a question of whether she's currently in a romance with the Inquisitor or not.

EDIT: The dialogue with Sera is very interesting, is that actually in the game? Beause I thought Mike Laidlaw specifically said there was no content for specifically post romance characters. It seems like an important thing to include in this case though.
