I am sure he's not told them it's just a stroll into the woods.
Well, "bring back the lost world of the elves" doesn't have to include "this will kill everyone in the world, including probably you."

Ok let's say that all he has said is "I want to bring back the lost world of our ancestors, our ancient culture and traditions and make this world once more ours."
Now you're an intelligent Elf listening to this pitch and you'd have to know that this probably doesn't leave room for the world of, kingdoms of, empires of, the Humans, Dwarves, Qun etc.
Even if he does not say "I am going wipe out every last Shemlen" you'd have to, with even the smallest pea in your Elf noggin, realize that what he wants is going to kill an awful lot of folks just to even be achievable.
This is assuming he's told them everything about the plan, yes?

Dwarves are fine, they live underground. Qunari are fine as long as they stay in Par Vollen; they're invaders elsewhere anyway. And everything human is built on stolen land. Moreover, there's no way to immediately say that that many people would die, as his plan clearly doesn't involve conventional warfare.
Another reason I'm hoping for a Sera appearance in DA4, she can be out there spreading the truth of the truly horrifying in scale mass genocide that Baldy wants to initiate. And spreading arrows as well. Truth and arrows will out yeah?
I personally consider that premature. I don't want to fight him, I want to find a way to accomplish his goal without killing everyone.

I don't think everyone is going to be fine and I don't want the plan for changing the world given to the guy who screwed it all up in the first place. Solas doesn't get another chance and even if he is all sad and Spocky I'd rather Sera put an arrow into his skull then ever see him get a chance to make a second attempt at getting things "right."

And I'm not sure it's fair to blame humans for stepping into the void Solas left when he cracked the world in half. Later stuff, sure, but no one is blameless there.
When it seemed to consist of just enslaving all of the elves, yes, it absolutely is.

In what sense? You mean humans enslaving elves? Not quite on the scales that elves enslaved elves. Interesting that Solas misses and wants to restore a world where slavery and false gods held sway. Solas is all sorts of jumbled up in the old marble. The lad ain't right in the cabesa.
I seem to recall someone rewarding the elves with a new homeland for helping defeat an empire. Oh yes, Andraste. Sure, that whole Red Crossing thing was bad, but we know that was everyone's fault. Enslaving is, strictly speaking, inaccurate, though.
Not that the whole situation isn't a bloody nasty shambles, though. I'd just rather see it resolved in some way that doesn't involve gigadeath for everyone.
"Reward" strikes me as the wrong word; it's closer to "pitifully small amounts of territory returned to their original owners." And then it was conquered and genocide was committed, that only didn't reach completion because some of the elves fled as opposed to being assimilated.
Forget 'territory': return Thedas to its natural state! Hail Titans! DA4.
Question: if the world was split in two to make Thedas and Fade, can anyone be said to own that portion that became purely physical (rather than purely spiritual) when neither truly existed apart before? This is, I guess, a philosophical question and there really isn't an answer to it.
No.
F**k this s**t.
I'm tired of this particular wall. My head needs the rest.
Xilizhra: take this discussion to another thread, please.

Naturally: the beings that are now only physical.
No.

As you wish.
I was trying to find it, but I could not be bothered enough to look through more pages. I was thinking about playing again, with a two handed champion or Knight Enchanter Trevelyan that romances Sera, but was thinking it was too weird with Trevelyan being noble, and Sera's opinions of them. Anyone else feel the same (I know it was likely discussed, just can't nor want to find it).
I don't actually think so, depending on how you RP it. Sera will judge a noble by her actions, so if she sees you helping the little people she'll get past any issues pretty quickly. Also, once you're the Inquisitor, you're a de-facto noble whatever your race.I was trying to find it, but I could not be bothered enough to look through more pages. Hey, two pages!
Yay more Sera art!
I'll try to keep that going though I notice it's been drying up a bit more on Tumblr as the game ages.
All Dalish may not be far-right, but the setting makes very clear that clans like Lavellan are moderate (or even rather liberal) outliers. Bioware likes to show exceptions to things but this doesn't change the generality much.
Based on what exactly?
so could someone tell me what r the trigger points for Sera's romance option to be active (remain as an option to go to) after i end romance with Blackwall (ending it during the judgement of Thom Rainier task)
(to Mods: sorry if this isn't allowed in bioware forums so please do lemme know and ima edit it out..thx):
i had started a thread in general disc. (spoilers) regarding the same - http://forum.bioware...cifically-sera/
thx

I mean, Trevelyan is a noble, her problem with nobility should at least make it harder for Trevelyan to get into her pants, yet it is as easy as with a Cadash (slightly harder than with an Adaar).
at least mage Trevelyan makes it a little better.
