That's my thoughts about "Sera" too.  She could be our resident horndog.

...

...

You did set yourself up for dave's remark little bit...   :P

I want to put my money on Iron Bull being the horny one. Yes that was bad, and I do feel bad.

But I don't see why it always has to be rogues.

For some reason, one of my favorite bits of dialogue between Varric and Isabela comes to mind.   This is said after Anders blows up the Chantry and you're trying to race to the Gallows.

Yes. It's very Sleepwalkers.

Even better, why not have no horny, over the top, sexually liberated companion.  Could be refreshing after having them in back to back games.

Agreed and agreed.  Never feel bad for a perverted pun.  :P

Not sure why, but I really don't get a "sexually free" vibe from her.  If the survey info is true, her wildness sounds pretty immature and childish, and that kind of selfishness could get in the way of sexuality.  I know Isabela has a lot of the "only out for herself" thing going on and Sera might too, but I see hers leaning more toward keeping to herself, intimacy-wise.  Btw, most of this conjecture is based off of my interactions with someone in RL that Sera reminds me of so far :P  Also, Isabela points out that she didn't mess around with the men in her crew because they'd stop taking her seriously.  In this "network of rogues" it seems like you could get into a lot of trouble if you lost respect from your peers.

She looks like someone I'm going to want to have in my party with Varric and any other snarky companions we end up getting. Without a doubt one of my favorite things about Bioware games is the banter.

Ah, welcome to the forums!

The companion banter was what saved DA2 for me.  The game had many issues, but the companions as well as their banter is why I replay it.   :D

That's a good point. She's obviously intelligent, if not likable.

I really don't see Zevran and what we're assuming of Sera to be terribly similar.  I mean yeah, physically speaking they're blonde elf rogues, but being able to enjoy a bawdy joke doesn't say much.  She seems like more of a little rascal with a flippant mouth, whereas Zevran actually had an air of refinement about him with a silver tongue. He kind of came off as suave even if the subject matter was crass.  When Zevran protested he did so in an articulated and mature manner.  From the description I can easily see Sera having a bratty outburst when she's upset or disagreeable.

Thanks. I'm with you on DA2. I absolutely loved it but know it had some serious flaws.

I'm curious, where'd the name 'Sera' come from? Other than a few glimpses in gameplay demos and that awesome piece of concept art, I haven't seen much about her.

Personally, if Vivienne was a LI and I was romancing her, I'd be too scared sh*tless of her to ever cheat.

I agree, I don't think she's going to anything like Z, obviously ignoring the similarities in appearance.

I'm split between doing a "girlpower" or "traditional" playthough for the first one. "Girlpower" meaning a party full of lasses and "Traditional" meaning playing through with at least both Varric and Cassandra the first time. I would perhaps be a bit afraid of missing important points first playthrough by not bringing those two.

Some posters started calling her that after a term in Skyrim, meaning "Sir or Ma'am"  Like "Serrah" in Kirkwall.  I never played Skyrim myself, but I figured calling her "Sera" was better than just Blonde Elf Girl all the time.   :)

This is where I was directed previously concerning the leaked survey information.  I assume that's where we got the name Sera from.

Do we know of a Rogue that's based on close combat? Obviously Varric's got Bianca and judging from the concept art Sera's going to be an archer as well.

"Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned."  Not all that modern, folks in the Bronze Age knew that.

Now, it isn't cheating if she's involved.  For instance, my Warden never cheated on Alistair with Isabela, after all.  He was there, after all and it wasn't behind his back...

This isn't about Vivienne though.   ;)

@Overlord  Pretty much.

How do you know?

She seems like a daring type that could be up for it if the right buttons are pressed.
