And i romanced her as a dwarf with no problem.

Never had that problem. I flirted with her at Haven and when we first got to SKyhold. Ended up doing her personal quest The Verchiel March where i told her to kill the noble and told her i'd support her afterwards. After that i literally got every cutscene with her back to back. The pranks, cookies, the talking about fun/bed conversation and finally the gift quest.

 

Hmm I wonder if maybe flirting around was what did it? I took a few flirts with other characters but I was sure not to lock in anything and even went around Skyhold double checking. I also slept with the noble woman from Ruffles's personal quest since i was playing a big time flirt and thought it fit the character. Kind of leery to try her romance again if it turns out I have some kind of bug which stinks cause i do like romancing that insane adorable girl.

Not sure if this has been asked in the thread and I apologize if it has been but has anyone else been having problems romancing Sera? I got very high approval with her and I wasn't with anyone else but whenever I flirted with her I got a 'lets see maybe later' type of answer from her. I eventually gave up when I got to the temple of Mythal. Got both the prank and the cookie scenes with her and was sure to flirt but she wanted nothing to do with my dwarf romance wise. Is it actually harder in game to romance her with anything other than qunari?

The only race I know of to have difficulty with singing the Seranade would be elves, and as far as I know they just gain approval slower than others that's all. Sorry to hear that your lady Inquisitor is having trouble romancing her. All I can suggest is reloading an earlier save with your Quizzy, make sure to flirt the ever-loving heck out of her and Scout Harding, do her personal quest (Verchiel March), and hopefully it'll work out. I kind of gave up on that dwarf run since I was just about over with the game anyway, but I'll keep the flirting with Harding thing in mind for my next go at Sera

Not only does flirting with Harding give you approval with Sera, you're flirting with Harding so it's a win/win

Never tried to flirt with Harding before, always felt kind of weird about it but for Sera I will certainly give it a go.

 Yeah I think I may of bugged myself out of her romance with too much flirting, dropped a flirt on Cassandra, Josephine, Blackwall, Iron Bull, and Dorian. Though I did check all those aside from Dorian and Cassandra for obvious reasons to make sure I wasn't in a relationship with any of them.

There's one that's something like "Now I see why you're not like other elves" and a lot of people don't take it because instinctively you think it's going to give disapproval. It doesn't, and you need to have asked her all possible questions (short of kicking her out of course!) to progress the romance.

Actually I did ask her about that and it exhaust a lot of options but its very very possible I missed one since at that point I was pretty frustrated fearing my game was bugged. I will keep this in mind on my next Sera run though, thank you for the tip
