Any reason for new fanart is a good reason I say, and that's one adorable looking Cadash to boot :)

It's true, it's probably why Inside Out was not set in the UK, because if it was about a Brit, then every single one of our emotions would end up looking and acting just like Sera... and the amount of swearing would mean it'd probably not be a kid's flick anymore.

Cute elves make everything better! I suspect these three would get into an awful lot of trouble...

how do we think  Sera and Fenris would get alone? It seems like he'd be too moody and serious for her, however, she would be great for him, help him lighten up and enjoy life while causing chaos and destruction!

but would his mood, or the fact he's infused with magic essentially, put her off?

I think she'd be a bit freaked out by his abilities but she wouldn't blame him for them as it's not his fault that he has them. What I'd imagine would put her off would be the fact that he's such a broody arse. ;)

I'd think she'd be wigged out by his lyrium tattoos and the abilities they give him but not hold it against him, seeing as how he didn't have a choice in the matter. His brooding nature would grate on her I think, but they would probably bond over their mutual distrust/hatred of mages as well as their love of drinking. So I predict a rough start ending with them becoming good buddies.

I think they'd get along great.

She loves Blackwall and he's a moody bastard (:P), so it stands to reason she'd like Fenris as well. They both like drinking and sticking it to people in power, don't have a lot of patience for magic or anyone claiming to be elfier-than-thou, and both (potentially!) know what it's like to romance or befriend the hero of a really convoluted and unlikely story, haha.

Blackwall seems to share her sense of humor, though. I... don't really see Fenris find her... eccentricities quite so amusing.

So, hm. Does anyone agree with me that, while the idea of marrying Sera is great, the actual execution was rather rushed? I mean, what I'd prefer to say to her is "I'd love to get married, after all this business with the Exalted Council is done so we have time to do it properly."

He laughs at Hawke's terrible jokes and giggled at Isabela's "thumb up Donnic's arse" comment.

Hnnnn, I guess it depends on what you mean by proper. Her thought process was probably more spontaneous - she got up the nerve to ask you, and if you say yes, why wait?

Of course, I'm sure there are Inquisitors who would rather have their family or clan or kith involved, but I thought it turned out okay. You can always renew your vows if you want another ceremony. edit: And unlike Cullen we don't actually see the ceremony, so for all we know you had a big huge audience haha.

The main thing that bugged the hell out of me was that I talked with Cassandra after Sera at the beginning of Trespasser, whereupon she talked about rumors Varric had spread that I was going to marry Sera, and I had to deny that I had any intention of doing so despite already having married her. I will count that as an even more ridiculous romantic writing flub than my sleeping with Leliana for the first time immediately after I'd defiled the Urn of Sacred Ashes in my first DAO playthrough.

Of course, my qunari PC will be more inclined to do this than my elf PC ever would be, but the entire plot of the game is terrible for my elf PC, so I'm hoping the qunari goes more smoothly. Though I'm a tad worried about lip-covering vitaar giving me a poisonous kiss.

Whoops, yeah, both of those are glaring oversights (or in Leliana's case I guess you just won her over? Lol).

 Maybe years of exposure have leant Sera acquired poison immunity, and now she thinks of the vitaar as a bulwark against other people trying to kiss you.

I enjoyed my qunari PC. It took some getting used to - I'm used to looking up at people, and being so very large was... different. But I used that to my advantage when developing her character, milking the Huge Schoolgirl trope for all it was worth. She was awkward and a bit shy because she'd been surrounded by comparatively short people all her life and made to feel uncomfortable in her skin, and then comes along this tiny, gorgeous, energetic woman who truly appreciates her physique...

It's even worse because Cassandra is kind of isolated in a corner while Sera's in the middle of things, so most people would speak to Sera first.

And defiling the Urn if Leliana is hardened lets you intimidate her to just get -10 approval, which was basically nothing at that point.

Vitaar seems a bit more like a mask in some ways than facepaint anyway, mostly in how you can easily take it off and put it back on (and we know that the Arishok was actually able to sell his unique vitaar, whereupon it somehow ended up in the Solasan Temple), so maybe poison isn't a problem because magic, or something. Though, do you also give Sera a bunch of Sabotage poison abilities?

Mine's more self-confident, but she's not going to turn down such enthusiastic interest easily, and Sera's cultural iconoclasm and disdain of racial identity meshes rather better with a Vashoth than a Dalish.

I'm now having that debate over whether to turn her into a necromancer or a rift mage. The latter is slightly more reliably fun in a mechanical sense, but the former is more interesting in a roleplaying sense. If only Solas didn't disappear, leaving me with Dorian always being my other mage, necromancer would be a relatively easy choice, but...

I had the option to tell Cass that they were already married. At least they fixed the Cullen bug.

My Adaar was able to tell Cassandra that she and Sera already got married, I just chalked it up to a bug that hopefully will be fixed next time I do a Seranading Quizzy. If not I'll just make sure to remember to talk to Cass first, which will be hard because Sera's so darn cute :D

This is pretty much how I roleplay my female Adaar, an adorkable (or should that be Adaarkable?) nerd with freckles who when not busting heads, acts more like the head of the book club than someone who could be in SEAL Team Six. Having faced a lot of prejudice growing up and people avoiding her for being Qunari, I see her as a little shy and self-conscious and secretly wanting people to accept and like her. It's part of the reason she has a tendency to slightly overcompensate by being a bit of a flirt and deflecting with humour.

My male Adaar is somewhat similar. He looks extremely intimidating and severe (sort of like a Qunari Khal Drogo), but often surprises people when he opens his mouth to reveal he's actually a charismatic, polite, teddy bear of a man with a wicked sense of humour.

Both are drawn to Sera in their own way.

My female Adaar because she realises that she is finally able to let her guard down and won't be rejected for being Qunari, like has happened to her before with people she's tried to let in.

My male Adaar because he thinks of Sera as like a little sister. She's the only person who sees him, treats him as and lets him be, his normal goofy self rather than the oh-so-serious Inquisitor, even if just for an afternoon of mischief.

^ I love it! That was pretty much my thought process. By the time Trespasser rolls around, however, I think my Adaar's gained waaaay more confidence than she started with.

I can't remember if I posted this before, but it's got Seravellan in it and made me cry, so... :P

Nothing that I noticed in Jaws of Hakkon or The Descent. In Trespasser she talks about continually feeling as though she's done things before, which I guess you could crowbar in as her having an ancient soul that has experienced much within her, but that's about it.

Edit: Also mentioned in her diary:

I think it more probable that Sera is actually Iona's daughter. Iona is the eleven handmaiden in the Human Noble origin story in DA:O.

Now that's an interesting backstory I've never considered before.
