Why not. Everyone's just so confused with your perfect act they think you are a man.

I'll do it anyway because I must know how she behaves when she is in love.
That's what YouTube is for xd

She probably let's someone else do the stabbing...
I see what you did there...
But the stabbing jokes are getting kinda old.

I WISH i could romance Cass though. D: But i can't do it with a dude.
I assume you roleplay a lot? Or is it just that you can't enjoy what you don't easily identify with?
I usually don't roleplay so I have typically zero issues playing females (as a dude myself).

But it's not the same! My computer has a small screen. My TV has a big screen. And I can't connect the two (old tv and computer)

That can't happen if everyone calls you as "he" if you play male-to-female person though.
That would be a hindrance... I wonder if there are mods for that?

Don't feel bad. It's just that it gotten to the point that it's impossible to discuss Cassandra without someone making a stabbing joke. Flanderization!
There's more to Cassandra than stabbing stuff, there's more to Sera than the giggle-snort, there's more to Iron Bull than the mayhem, etc.

I haven't heard much about Sera's giggle-snort in awhile. I'm all for making muffin jokes tho.

i don't play straight males, we already get plethora of male protags in other games.
In games that have gender options, i always play as female because i prefer them.

Gotcha.
For me, Sera will be the first time I try a lesbian romance in a game since Liara and Leliana back in the day. But she's also strictly lesbian, something that couldn't be said of Liara and Leliana. It actually gives me all the more reason to potentially start out with a female Inquisitor, though I'm still debating that.

Cassandra won't have recorded romantic lines where she'll refer to the inquisitor as a "she".
I dont know exactly how the mod would work, but I can image its difficult to create, since it would probably involve enabling the "check" to acknowledge that the inquisitor is female, while playing with a male.
Was this possible in DA:O and DA2? Because if it wasn't then forget about trying it with the Frostbite engine.

That didn't stop modders from making a female Ash Williams romance back in Mass Effect 1.

There were mods which disabled various gender checks on specific dialogue - so say a Wardenette could snog Bella - and they didn't ruin everything. However they were made using the conversation editor in the DA toolset. We have no idea how conversations are stored now, nor access to tools which can read or alter them.

That's because Ashley was originally planned as a bi romance.
They found the dialogue files hidden somewhere.

Ah, I see!
I guess it will depend then on wether DA:I gets a toolset or not.

I don't think she was planned as bi but having the voice files made modding easier.
I don't expect that to be true for this game.

As far as I know, Jen Hale and Mark Meer both recorded all romance-specific lines regardless of gender for ME1. So the VO files were there but BW picked and chose as to what to include in the final build.
It's funny because this doesn't appear to have been the case with ME2, where most of the romance-specific lines appeared gender-restricted with no indication of recording everything.

I wouldn't expect one. People can mod things without toolsets, it just makes it more complex.
Personally I'd prefer that mods were unfeasible, but I'm heartless.

They've already confirmed there will be no toolset IIRC, though as you said, the game will still be moddable to some degree if you have the brains and patience for it.
