I never wanted to romance Tali but it was obvious that Tali was romantically interested in shep regardless of gender and femshep basically it shut down without any choice and it was screwed up.

Eh just Femshep players wanted to Romance Tali as well back in ME2...and if I recall some found it unfair that they made Kaiden bi and not Ashley.
