Here's to 500 pgs SOON! ![]()
The specializations have been added! ![]()
I'm so looking forward to playing a Necromancer.
Not sure if posted here but Specializations have been added
Mages
Necromancer
These mages specialize in binding the spirits that are drawn to death. They can put the fear of death into enemies, bring spirits to fight on their behalf, and even cause devastating explosions when their enemies die.
Rift Mage
These mages draw upon the force of the Fade, either pulling matter from the Fade to attack or twisting the Veil itself into a weapon to stagger or crush their enemies.
Rogue
Assassin
Any rogue can kill a target, but assassins make death into an art form. They specialize in quick, deadly kills that let them slide back into the shadows undetected, or indirect kills that eliminate targets while the assassin is safely away.
Tempest
These unpredictable experts specialize in using alchemical mixtures that wreathe them in frost or flame. Fast, chaotic, and possibly mad, they wade into the fight and dare enemies to face the storm.
Warrior
Reaver
As the battle gets bloodier, these vicious and deadly warriors get even more brutal. Hurting them just makes them mad, a mistake most enemies don't live to repeat.
Templar
These unrelenting warriors specialize in fighting mages and demons. No enemy's magic can withstand them, and they inspire and protect their allies with their righteous power.
Nice!
Well dang. I was so set on Artificer, but now seeing the Tempest spec... It reminds me of the Alchemist form Pathfinder. Chugging mutagens for the win!
Hold on, I need to get my 'coin of hard decisions'.... ... ... Dang! I left it at home!

Tempest sounds very cool, I didn't expect alchemy to be involved but it's a nice touch.
Well you know, Basement Cat. The Deep Roads are underground so... Really, it should have been obvious. But have no fear.
That poor little kitten has been turned into a Ghoul!
For the Grey Wardens!
Tempest sound so tempting but will probably still go for the assassin for the first time around. There will absolutely be a lot of testing!
I'm an Assassin. I always was one for killing people without them knowing I was there. Virtually.
If she is half as "wildcard" as Rafi from The League, I will like her very much.

Yup I was pretty set for the Assassin spec myself but now I'm thinking again.
So do you think Sera is a Tempest. The description is certainly fitting.
So the rogue specs can be summed up thus:
Assassin: Killing people : the subtle way.
Artificer: Killing people : the tricky way
Tempest : Killing people: the high way.
I'm assuming we're going to drink the Tempest concoctions so... yeah.
I'm with ya. She's one helluva Tempest, IMHO.
Definitely going to be a Reaver on my first playthrough.

I'd prefer if Companions had their own unique specializations just as they did in DA 2. So Sera could get a whole tree devoted solely to her.

I think she probably is a Tempest, but maybe her spec has different unique abilities
So we only have 2 choices per class ??? And.....both mages spec...deal with BINDING SPIRIT of the FADE . BUt hey blood magic is Evil..........................argh. ![]()

There are 3 choices per class, actually: Assassin, Tempest, Artificer for the rogues; Templar, Reaver and Champion for the fighters; Necromancer, Rift Mage and Jedi Knight Enchanter for the mages.
Huh ? I only see 2 up there in that Quote .
Revear + Templar = Warrior
Assassin + Tempest = Rogue
Necro + Rift = Mage

3, but one has been revealed for each class already.
Mage
Knight Enchanter, Rift Mage, Necromancer
Rogue
Artificer, Tempest and Assassin
Warrior
Templar, Reaver and Champion.

The rest are on the dragon age website where you can now read the description for all 3 specializations per class. Thats a total of 9 specializations in the game.
Still......their description is lousy at best . It's like almost contradictory . No you can't have blood Magic..but here , go bind some spirit to do your binding...which just feel as bad as blood magic .
Of course , I get over it....but did they have to say Bind spirit ? in a world where Templar use the world 'demon' and 'fade' like one would use the word 'Sky' and 'Sun' together...

Well, you can join the light side and be a Jedi be a Knight Enchanter and wield a sword made of pure magic. How does that sound?
So Knight Enchanter...would be....um....that magic we get in the elf ruins in DAO? What was it called...........Arcane warrior ?
I'm hoping necro won't be anything like in Diablo 2...super spam mutants and make everything easy .
