Still......their description is lousy at best . It's like almost contradictory . No you can't have blood Magic..but here , go bind some spirit to do your binding...which just feel as bad as blood magic .  :crying: Of course , I get over it....but did they have to say Bind spirit ? in a world where Templar use the world 'demon' and 'fade' like one would use the word 'Sky' and 'Sun' together...

Spirits don't have blood! *purposefully missing the point*

Well, you can join the light side and be a Jedi be a Knight Enchanter and wield a sword made of pure magic. How does that sound?

That sound like I turn Sith as soon as a Jeeday master say 'May the force be with ya'  And I won't have ABS! So forget it!! (rush to the Empire side) Take the Meeee !  ^_^

Nope, Knight Enchanter will be a bit different from the Arcane Warrior, apparently. I mean, an Arcane Warrior wasn't capable of conjuring magic blades to fight AFAIK.

Well, then join the Dark side and be a Sith be a Knight Enchanter and wield a sword made of pure magic. Better? :)

Joke's on you. I eat souls!

Anyway, the only spec I see working for Sera is Tempest. She's too loud to be an Assassin and too impatient to be an Artificer.

Well you know, Basement Cat. The Deep Roads are underground so... Really, it should have been obvious. But have no fear.

Perhaps baseman cat isn't a darkspawn and instead is a grey warden. Like Ser Pounce-a-lot. A noble warrior fighting against the darkspawn horde.

To be honest it kinda does but hopefully it's better than that

I'm not sure how it sounds like Skyrim? Sure you could use a 1h sword and wield magic in skyrim but imagine that the knight enchanter will be deeper than just that.

Your powers of self-delusion are astounding. :P

Mechanically speaking, it's probably pretty close to the Skyrim version. On the bright side: this idea was done waaaaaaay before Skyrim (Baldur's Gate had the 'flaiming sword' spell.)

Notice it says 'energy' blade. Maybe we'll be able to choose between fire, ice and lightning as 'flavors' for that spell.

Naw...I don't like warrior-mage kind . I like magic mage  :P I liked blood magic cose it was dangerous (watch your health!) . And I'm not very fond of magic that use summon or shapeshift unless we are in a D&D setting and we have the appropriate class for it . Ex: Druid = shapeshitf or summons animals . Bard = use weapons+ throw some spells .

I think I try Necro and hope for the best  ;)

In Skyrim you can conjure weapons like a sword , an axe...(dont remember if there were more) and they are etheral (that the word?)...and they would dissapear after a time . Google it , you can see them..they are very Glowy !  ^_^

@Antaine: I joined both Sith and Jedi lol and turn out..my Sith was 100% lightside in the end .

I don't know I don't think she really fits well in any of them. I'm still hoping for the DA2 idea of unique specs.

So do you think Sera is a Tempest. The description is certainly fitting.

Hmm I reckon she might have her own unique spec, I sure hope so anyway.

Eh, fair enough. :)
I liked conjuring weapons in Skyrim, so I might be a tad biased towards Knight Enchanter. :P

I see Sera as having her own unique spec to make her stand out from other companions that also are rogues

I hope all companions have their unique specializations, I loved that in DA2. Plus it would be weird if, say, Varric suddenly became a regular archer and lost all the unique abilities linked to Bianca he previously had.

I liked conjuring in skyrim, I hope we can conjure bows as a KE

I have the feeling that they're not going to allow mages to conjure bows, otherwise they would have to give mages some kind of magical archery skills too and I don't see them doing that.
Plus, it would make the archery rogues feel redundant: why drag around an archer if your mage can snipe baddies too, with the advantage of casting spells to boot?

They probably won't do it but it would have been cool. I hope they do a video showcasing each spec because I'm curious to see how each ability looks.

Hopefully.

Hate the fact that if a particular character has a spec only he/she knows and the game allows you to copy said power. -_-

Companions should have their own specs dammit and the protag shouldn't be allowed to have said power just because she/he is the protag.

I honestly do not see it either. I see three people fitting the specializations in the game as they are:

  1. Blackwall being a champion, as he is a Grey Warden, a defender of people
  2. Solas is a Rift mage, being that he knows a whole lot on the Fade.
  3. Cole is definitely an assassin, until we know more about the Tempest.

Well, said companions are the most obvious source for learning such a specialization, and are far more accessible for training than many other sources. The specializations in DA2 come out of nowhere, pretty much.

As an aside, I'm starting to wonder how well I'll really click with Sera... the exuberant extroverted ones are frequently not people I connect terribly well to. It's one reason I prefer Merrill over Isabela.
