Similar for me too, Cass will more than likely be my main tank, will switch the Bull in now and again for banter reasons. And Viv will be my main mage and Sera is a permanent fixture in my party anyway, everyone else can fit in around her.

^This is what I'm doing. Although I'm worried having my Elfquisitor and Sera both be archers will crap in combat. Buuut, elven archer besties!!!

At least my mage Adaar's party is going to much better balanced than my Lavellan, and that's the Sera romance playthrough so she has to stay no matter what.

Welp originally I wanted to try out an elven archer but Sera has that territory well covered so I went back to my favourite duel weapon type.

I'm actually worried that Sera might suck with the bow (read: less than impressive AI). If that is the case, I will have to give her daggers instead. Bad AI tends to do slightly better with melee weapons.

Second playthrough I will play a warrior, I always pick a rogue on my first run, my fav class.

To be fair if the impression is coming from someone who has played a demo then they didn't play the final build. Demos are usually alpha or even beta versions of the game never the final product

My canon City Elf was a warrior. And my canon Hawke was a mage. Therefore, canon Quizzy must be a rogue.

Well as a control freak and a console player, I'm really looking forward to playing with the tactical camera in DAI. So bad AI might not trouble me too much.

I'm not sure. I guess we'll see soon enough.

 

Companion AI has generally been mediocre at best in BioWare games, especially the higher difficulty you play. In DA:O, companions were practically useless on Hardcore/Nightmare. I have a pessimistic suspicion that DA:I won't be much better, but I pray to the Maker that I'm wrong.

I tried doing that (one warrior, one Mage, one rouge) but I remembered that Mage hawke means dead Bethany and I wasn't having that and my adaar ain't no rouge
