I would be fine with an asexual romance.

Mine too. But I'd rather have her be an interesting non-romancable person instead of yet another promiscuous rogue. 

 

I don't see her falling into quite the same mold as Isabela and Zev. The age of the Inquisitor and our companions in this game is different from past entries to a degree and I think that maybe a factor? Sera is one of the few companions who seems to be under 30, and actually seems more early 20's really. She has been desvribed as a 'brat' and (we think? right? idk where this info I'm parroting comes from...) is the leader of a thieves guild. Plus her 'food' is tequilla and skittles. All of this carries a very different vibe then Isabela and Zev who were both seasoned professionals with a long wary history despite their joking mannerisms.

 

Sera is a loudmouthed 20 something. She's selfish because she's never had any responsiblity to others, not because she's been betrayed and hurt by so many people (like Isabela/Zev), she's cocky and loud b/c she has managed to get away with her thieving etc so far and sees no reason that can't continue. I see her as  vaguely hipster like (she's a thief and I kinda imagine a 'screw the man/human!' vibe from her, that fits similarly with the 'hipster' crowd). If she does have a lot of sex partners its because she is young so why not, as opposed to the seemingly carefree but really much more deepseeded reasons that Isabela/Zev do the same. So I think Sera and her storyline might be maturity more then the ...vaguely...love redeems idea that kinda/argueably happens in Isabela and Zev's romances.

Maybe, I mean I always pictured Isabella, after sleeping with Hawke (and telling after the romance option and explination) that her and Hawke start hooking up more (evidence is a off comment I heard Lenadra say one time about Isabella coming over alot, and Isabella's comment to Seb, which can be taken as a jest was delivered more seriously)

 

Then the invasion over the book. then she leaves, I always picture her doing one night stands, and not really having as much fun as she use to, and the more she tried to have fun the less fun she had, then maybe she was able to have alittle fun only because she thought of Hawke while doing it. Then that stopped working, then she stops doing it, Then she goes back to Kirkwall. Then the whole drama there, where now he is "The Champion of Kirkwall" which makes her feel extremely insecure about herself, and thinking Hawke has moved on with his knew found fame. So now there are rich hussies trying to bed him. And really no place for her. Which she probably tries to "sleep" it off but can't, and finds out Hawke really hasn't changed much same person new outfit. With maybe subtle hints of "I don't want this attention.... but I will eat and drink the free food" in which place they end up doing it, and she feels happy again, and the 'lock-in' scene or maybe the other way around. tho I think Isabella would want to test the waters first before she decides to 100% commit in a relationship.

That could be interesting if it was done right. And it would be hilarious to watch certain people explode over it.

I don't think BW would go for it. They already tried something similar with Sebastian and that wasn't exactly well received.

He wasn't asexual, he was chaste. I'd like to think people would be more understanding of a genuine sexual orientation, and if I'm wrong, don't tell me. I like having some faith in humanity.

 

That having been said, I too think she won't be asexual. Maybe she'll be a little sister figure we can't romance, but I doubt asexual completely.

Agreed. As much as I like Zev and Izzy, I really don't want Sera to be another sex crazed rogue.

I don't think too many people know what asexual means... I'm not 100% i do either, tho from what I can gather, asexual just means you really don't have a sex drive. And or don't find anyone sexually atractive. It doesn't mean you are bi, its more neutral? i guess?

It’s not that hard if you consider sex drive as a scale, not a binary system; even non-asexual people have varriying degrees of sexual activity, asexuality is just one end of the scale just like homosexuality is one end of the gender orientation scale.

What people also find hard to wrap their head around, is that romantic feelings are yet an other scale apart from the sex drive one (with aromantic being one the ends, etc...)

From the character art from last year, I'm guessing she'll be on my team quite often. The funny characters always find a way into my heart that way.

I know it's cheesy but I hope Sera says something like "I'm the thief, but you stole my heart, Inquisitor." Or maybe the inquisitor themselves tells Sera that she stole their heart cause Sera doesn't seem like she's into sapoy stuff.

^Yeah, me too... I think we can do without that type for one game. Or at least make that person not a rogue. I highly doubt she'll be a chantry enthusiast but if she was then she'd be the third archer LI like that.
