It was also thrown around a lot in DA:O's marketing.

It's the chest piece the rogue has on. Look at its icon on the both pics. It's a purple chest piece on both.

The Red items are strange, expecially Because they are mage robes seen with a mage. Either there's a level restriction...or a race restriction for some outfit.
Also, armour restriction is present. If you find a warrior armour you can't use it With your mage. You can craft the armour and modified it to be wearable by mages though.

Looking at the red items, I guess it's a race restriction. Keeper robes and those Quanari head tattoos.

Yeah, I though if was race because the red items were about different races (Vitaar we're obvious though).
I guess there'll be race exclusive items. I'm not sure crafting will allow us to use them (surely not Vitaar).

It's cribbed from a DA2 staff. Which annoys me, because Malcolm's Honor seemed to be a very personal design, handmade by Malcolm and all.

Well, I never saw Malcolm's staff (he was DLC, right?), but it is a very nice design, not having it would be a shame.

And who knows, maybe there was talk of it and you can find/craft a replica?

Either way, I don't care, it looks good and I want one.

Well tbh, the human and qunari were more gorgeous.

 

The only awesome elf i saw was a dev's Inquisitor. Can't find it, she had short hair and yum.
