im confused. why would they have inquisition in the keep?

The DA keep will replace saved game transfers for all future DA games. This makes it much easier for them to ensure your choices are imported correctly into new games regardless of platform. Its the whole purpose of the keep.

I think it is more about it being force onto you. I sure do not walk like that I would hoped for a options to tone it down a lot more than the current feminquisitor animations.

I am still hoping that the female dwarf does not walk like that, sigh if she does. In other news I kinda see Sera not walking like that at all, to bad they approach things this time with the "all the girls must walk the same way". I really miss the different walking animations on Aveline, Merrill and Isabela.

One of the things that makes Dragon's Dogma CC so good is that, amongst other things, you have a slider that allows you to choose how your character walks. It would be fantastic if that was present in DA:I's CC (of course, I do not expect it in the slightest).

Apparently, they want the Keep updated with the choices you make in DA: I as you play the game. Which means they need all the work done before the game comes out.

From the twitter thread, pity.

Hi, Mike. Are specializations unique to the Inquisitor or available for party members, too?

Mike Laidlaw ‏@Mike_Laidlaw

Party members have pre-determined specializations that match the ones available to the Inquisitor of matching classes.

I wonder what specialization Sera is, then.

Cole is most likely our Assassin, Varric is probably our Artificer, so that leaves Tempest for Sera...which seems off somehow.

Tempest seems to fit her I'd say.

I'll have to look at em again, real shame though, I loved the unique spec trees companions had in DA2.

I guess we don't know enough about it for me to draw a conclusion, but just looking at the description it seems like it would be tailored more to a dual-dagger rogue than an archer who would be further away from the thick of it.

'Fast, chaotic, and possibly mad, they wade into the fight and dare enemies to face the storm.'

I can't imagine Cole knows anything about alchemy though... And Varric is pretty much confirmed to be an Artificer because he has Fallback Plan, a gadget-based ability.

Also, Sera had some Tempest skills mapped to her in one of the videos... there is a screen shot of it in this post:  http://forum.bioware...1#entry17374562

The team that works on the Character Creator is separate from the team that works on the Keep. So what the keep team chooses to work on has no effect on the CC.

Huh, well I guess that pretty much confirms that then.

I guess we'll see just how useful that actually is to an archer soon enough.

Really cool post about casting the voices of DA from David Gaider.

Robyn was Lukas' first choice for Sera, that's pretty cool, perfect casting then. :D

I think Assassin is the most fitting spec for Cole. And if Sera is a tempest then that leaves Artificer for Varric. I suppose thats fitting for a dwarf.

I was thinking maybe that tree included the "Rush" ability from DA2, which would make the flame/ice aura useful even for archers.  I'm sure Bioware thought of something, but if not, we can always switch her to daggers.

They made sure in DA 2 that Hawke's rogue specalizations were useful regardless of what weapon you used so I'm sure the same will be true in DA: I. I would be shocked if they made Sera a default bow user with a tempest tree that didn't mesh with archery.

Or maybe there's some sort of effect that can be applied to arrows.

That'd be nifty.

I take it we'll have special arrows in this game again, I ran outta them alot in DAO.

Yeah, whenever I equipped Leliana with a special quiver and switched to someone else, she'd have gone through every single one in about 4 minutes flat. Had to stockpile the hell out of them.  :pinched:

The description is very odd... they create mixtures that "wreath them in frost or flames."  Maybe they really mean "wreath their weapons."  That certainly makes more sense than drinking a potion or dousing themselves in a chemical that covers their whole body in flames... :/

Magical flames that only burn your enemies. Like how our mabari would be covered in flames from the flame weapon spell. Theres precedent for this in DA.

Like its been said the people who work on the character creation stuff and who work on the Keep are two different teams and its not even a 100% guarantee they will make new hairstyles.

Well, Dragon's Dogma had a Magick Archer spell that did the same thing, so there's that also...  that class used daggers to accomplish this, however.  Depending on exactly what the Tempest spec involves, I might switch Sera to daggers, switch Varric back to Bianca (I had him swapped to daggers), and then possibly make Cole an archer.

I would guess that it affects weapon properties, yeah.

I just wonder if Sera makes these alchemical potion thingies or acquires them somehow that involves stealing them.
