No, that was good news since they added race selection thanks to the time.

I wasn't around the BSN much at the time, but personally I was glad to hear about the time extension. DA2 suffered due to restraints; the extension was the biggest sign that DAI was going to be an improvement.

I'm always happy to hear about time extensions. I'm far more worried about games that never suffer delays. It's usually quite evident upon playing them that they could have used the extra time.
*cough*Duke Nukem Forever*cough*
Delays sometimes aren't good too.

That's probably true. Never played that game, but heard bad things.

Ridiculous how they're getting marginalized. I would have loved to see the other alienages in Thedas.

Considering that the game adopted many different developers and engines during its development, I don't think it's comparable.

They're not getting marginalized. It was either them or the dalish who would be left out. I guess a choice had to be made. If all other races get one more background than the elves, we'll talk.

On the other hand we would have been just human in the first place, so despite a set background it's great.

The only type I don't want to play as are those freaky keebler elves.

Duke Nukem wasn't delayed, it was canceled and picked up again a dozen times.

Guess so. I shouldn't complain since we got the Qunari.

I bet humans will. I mean, they have to unless they're doing a Hawke again.

Oh my goodness. She's so cute. How you draw her vaguely reminds me of a chibi Seras from Hellsing.

You're probably right considering how divided humans are as a race. I think one of the two big reasons that Elf Inquisitors are Dalish is because the Dalish don't send their mages off and therefore don't need a separate background like Human mages do. I think Humans will get even more class specific content than the other races just so lines identifying the Inquisitor will be more interesting. Like when someone would say "Oh hey, it's a Dwarf/Elf/Qunari" They'll instead say "Oh hey, it's a Chevalier" or "Oh hey, it's that one Senior Enchanter."

the game was promised to us, I think what... 10 years ago? or.. maybe 15... soemthing like that, it got delayed then we where told that, it would be delayed again because it was going to a new engine, then like a year later, they said the same thing... then all was quite, then I think ID games ran into trouble then... I dont know, then suddenly like 5 years ago it was anouced that hey Duke Nuke'm forever was going to be made and released. Which at that point everyone thought, "yea right vaporware". And then it came out to alot of hype, and fell flat because really it wasn't a duke nukem game...

yeah, but they limited the number of backgrounds to 2 so the dwarves wouldnt lose out because they cant be mages

No I don't think that's why. Originally they intended for humans to have four backgrounds after all.

The names "Sera" and "Saren" bear an awfully close resemblance to one another. Could this be a clue toward her role in the game?
Likely not, but I'm bored.

Sera is Joffrey!
I still fail to see any resemblance to that actor.
But Queen Sera has a nice ring to it. That, I could get on board with. If I usurp any thrones in this game, I'll consider giving one of them to her.
Maybe as an engagement gift.
