No, well not in theory. The core six were the original planned romances, and then Cullen and Solace were added when the game was first extended. Laidlaw's post about it - at the end.

 

Though I will forever think of Solace and Cullen as being DA's Kelly Chambers now.

I am leaning that way. My first DA:O playthrough was a male elf, and I do like them a lot. I wasn't keen on the weird "no footwear" thing in DA2 but it seems that they've done away with that this time, so it's all good.

 

Elves look so much better now in DAI than that weird DA2 model they went with, srsly why Bioware why?

 

My canon warden was also a Dalish fem, continuing the tradition again here with my first run. But I'm leaning towards a warrior now instead of a rogue.

For some reason I can't get excited about playing warriors. I think it's because I don't find brute force interesting. Mine will be rogue or mage, for sure.

The handful of elves in DA2 who were major characters looked decent I thought - minor characters of all races in both games had a tendency to look pretty funky on occasion. Though I'm not sure there was any real point to the changes.

 

My current plan is Dalish sword and shield, to sort of contrast my City Elf dual wield then two hander Warden.

I was disturbed by the weird hand and arm... things they had. It wasn't just the Elves though sometimes.

Yes that's one big reason

 

 

but the other reason is seeing as this game will be harder, limited potions and such I'll have more confidence with a tank on my first run to play around with different parties.

My fav class is rogues, my canon warden and Hawke are rogues, just gonna play a warrior first for DAI, break the cycle.  And Sera can be my official lock picker then, win/win.

I'm picking Reaver for a few reasons: it was one of my favourite specs in DA:O, there is no way I'm playing a Templar, and Champion doesn't suit Artemis' character.

Don't blame BioWare. Blame Varric. It was HIM who made them so ugly in his story, after all.
