I use to hate the Fade but now that I know the order from memory its not bad at all and I always loved the Deep Roads, that quest alone was an epic adventure and has anyone else realized that all the most messed up stuff you see in DA is in the Deep Roads? lol

I liked the Deep Roads. Well I liked the feel, I'm not keen enough on DA's combat to be genuinely excited for them.

 

But it was one of the few occasions we got to do some proper righteous Grey Wardening.

But the Cadash family was out on the surface for GENERATIONS.

 

Varric Tethras was born a few years after his family went to the surface, and he doesn't have a brand.

Totally liked the Deep Roads section!

The only real interesting part about the Fade is when you get to witness the inner psychological struggle of your companions. Otherwise it's dull and repititive scenery with horrible combat sections.

Deep Roads were 'better' mostly due to its disturbing atmosphere and the lore to boot.

Deep road was a pain...barkspawn at every corner . Spider at every corner , those small dinosaure at every corner . 

The Fade was a pain too . You go all the way up the tower just to be stuck in the fade....nooooo . I was so tired LOL my warden is lazy !

 

I personally found the whole game a pain due to crash though . I liked Denerim . Others places become nicer due to the origins . Brazilian forest is more fun as a Dalish for exemple . The Landsmeet is more fun as a Noble....the Mage Tower feel more fun as a Mage 

I think the place with heaven is one I didn't like . Well mostly the whole old temple place before the gauntlet when you meet that idiot worshipper........long caves and stealthy rogues...argh .

The fact that there's the whole "whatever we were before, we are now the inquisition" speech in the trailer showing all the characters around the table leads me to believe that there must be a fair bit of game to go after you meet all the companions. Of course it could be that that line in the actual game doesn't match up to the scene shown in the trailer.

I liked the Deep Roads and loved the Fade (all three times in Origins for my Mage Warden).

 

My only problem with the Fade in DA2 was that it's a little buggy when it comes to those moving barrel puzzles, forcing me to use the console to give me the +4 attribute points I can't get for love nor money normally.

The fact that there's the whole "whatever we were before, we are now the inquisition" speech in the trailer showing all the characters around the table leads me to believe that there must be a fair bit of game to go after you meet all the companions. Of course it could be that that line in the actual game doesn't match up to the scene shown in the trailer.

That seems likely. We'll probably get a recruitment mission for most companions early on, exceptions being Cassandra, Varric, Solas (first comps) and Sera since she finds us.

On the Cadash, they're Not necessarily castleless. They might've been exiled. While the result is the same (the other dwarves consider them 'nothing'), it's Not exactly the same thing.
Bartrand was exiled from Orzammar (he was already born when the Tethras were exiled), and yet he has no tattoo. That means he didn't become a casteless.

I couldn't stop playing DAO, well I still play it I've probably finished it at least 15 times. I don't really know anymore how many times I've played since I've had to delete so many games. I know the game so well I can get through really fast but still enjoy it, actually I may enjoy it more just because I know what I'm doing now.

 

I never got into double digits playing DAO or DA2, I'm not as pro as some of the regs here, the shame of it all.

 

Also in other news I pre-ordered my Deluxe Edition of DAI today at Gamestop, yay.   Now I have to fork out moar money for a PS4 erm... yay? My bank account will be hurtin'

On another note, I'm stuck at home and sick (tummy troubles). The bright side is that I finally beat the Varterral from Witch Hunt on hard! Only two achievements to go and I'll have 100% on DAO! (curse you, Darkspawn Chronicles!)
