Hah. I've been trying for ages to beat that thing and i gave up. ![]()
I cheated...
Well at least you try hard, I won't even bump it up to that myself. ![]()
Hah. I've been trying for ages to beat that thing and i gave up.
I did too, but that achievement was taunting me. So I abused the tome duplication glitch to give myself god stats (console player). I play a rogue! I'm supposed to cheat! That's what being a rogue is all about! *grasping at straws*
Also the famous console command. ![]()
Hopefully DAI will have it too..

I never got into double digits playing DAO or DA2, I'm not as pro as some of the regs here, the shame of it all.
Also in other news I pre-ordered my Deluxe Edition of DAI today at Gamestop, yay.Now I have to fork out moar money for a PS4 erm... yay? My bank account will be hurtin'

I don't play on PC, so I won't have access to those. I remember the days of Baldur's Gate though... I had so much fun with those things. ![]()
I still don't play nightmare I'm not skilled enough but I really do love the game.
Congrats on the pre order, the game is getting so close to the release date and with something else I've got going on related to the game (which I'm going to post about soon) I'm in an extremely excited mode right now. I fear I could explode at any minute.
Also I don't know why but for some reason I sorta want to buy a nug plushie, I blame Lukas' avi. ![]()
I'm pretty sure I got that achievement, and if I did then it was without cheating as I never cheat, but but I can't check as the old BSN DA:O pages are borked due to Keep...

If we play her Herald doesn't it mean that she needs us? And if we are the Herald of the Maker's Bride, what does that make us to the Maker?
Maker: Yes, I think she is ready!
Andraste: Dear, what are you doing?
Maker: Oh! Uh, nothing?
Andraste: What is this? Are you making a new bride for yourself? Are you trying to replace me?
Maker: No no, dearest! I'm just making... an errand girl! For you!
Andraste: Really? How sweet of you!
Maker: *phew*

I got that achievement with relative ease. The only achievement I had real trouble with in that game was beating the Harvester on Hard. That was like the cheapest boss fight in the history of ever, and I was miraculously able to beat it with a lvl 30 Warrior.
Most of DA:O's achievements were just a grind otherwise. I thought DA2's achievements were more varied and well-rounded.

Crimmy gurl pls, i don't need Andraste. ![]()

I've got Windows 8.1, a GeForce GTX 760 (192-bit), Intel Core i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40 GHz, 8.00 GB RAM (7.91 GB usable). How does my Rig look for playing the game? I never know what any of this stuff means and just assume my PC can play it. Shadow of Mordor is the first game I haven't been able to play maxed out.

You will be able to max it out, but probably not if a high/stable framerate is a priority to you.
It should be noted that the recommended settings mention 3GB of graphics memory. This is GDDR5 memory, and most graphics cards only have 1 or 2 gigs of that, including the GTX 760. Since computers have memory that is typically split between system DDR3 and the graphics card's onboard GDDR5, that means you will inevitably run into stuttering issues as your machine swaps artwork between the two memory pools in order to compensate for the missing 1GB of GDDR5 RAM.
TL;DR: I think you will run it just fine on High, but not necessarily on Ultra.

I'm likely going to play on a mix of medium or high settings. I could probably max it out, but I'm all about the framerate and gameplay. Graphics are nothing but icing on the delicious, thick, spongy cake that is the main game. I'm probably pre-ordering in a week or two. Very tempted at this point.
And Antivan women.
Sometimes Nevarran women.
How about all three? ![]()

I explained the graphics memory bit a few posts above. That's the worst thing that could happen.
don't know if it's been said in here but DAO is free on Origin until Oct. 14.
Also, currently watching a pc ultra vid of DAI gameplay and shout out to whoever that is that KNOWS how to play. They did the rogue right.
All hail Sera!
aaah... pc gaming sounds so complicated.
