So an Elven thief has her namesake be that of the highest level of angels. Hooray for irony.

As I said in Twitter thread, I always heard Cassandra meant 'prophetess', specifically 'unheeded prophetess'?

Not according to babynames.com
They could be related meanings though considering

You must of spelled it differently. I wouldn't trust just any site, I tried to find the closest thing to "scholarly" I could

People who like Sera also like... Jacob? hahaha

Makes sense. Jacob is a name in the Bible, so people who like naming their kids after angels may do the same with important biblical figures.

Jacob Taylor was more where my mind was.

As a side note, I also looked up the various meaning for the name "Cassandra" and there is an interesting list with a noticeable theme:

I hope Sera is adorable. She looks adorable. But a not Merill 2.0, like a different adorable. A funny adorable could be good.
Well, the one agreement about 'Cassandra' appears to be that it's a multi-national baby name. So I will just call her 'Baby.' And nobody will put her in the corner at the Orlesian Ball.
As for Sera, I'm pretty sure that is just short for 'Seradorable.'

I was pretty bored, so I made doll versions of all the companions. Here's my Sera. I really love this one.

IIRC Tabris and Mahariel are both the names of angels
so... I guess I was the only person on the forums to go to school with a Sera before?
Also went to school with Shara, Shera (it was indoision, so not "She-Rah", "Sa He Ra", Sarah
I've gone to school with 6 "Sara's" in my life but never a Sera.

They are indeed. Mahariel is the name of an angel that guards the first gateway of heaven. Tabris is the name of an angel of choice.
I figured as much.
You know what they say- once Jacob gets in you, he...
Tasteless joke followed, I assure you. To this day, I still can't believe that Bioware actually did that.

That was my face when I watched it for the first time.

I don't think even Italian Spiderman could do my reaction justice.
If Sera is a LI on my 1st play thru one my goals will be to bed her w/ My Elven Mage.
Sera may not even be a LI
I mean she probably is, what with being an elf and a rogue.
When every past elf follower, and rogue follower (save Varric) were LI.
If she is not that would be downright hilarious to see, since it would be subverting a lot of expectations.
