I think most Tal'Vashoth would speak Qunlat as their first language. But it's unclear if that would the case for a Vashoth who has never lived in Qunari lands. I have actually been wondering how much specific elven, Qunlat and Dwarven language will have made it into voice acting for the non human Inquisitors.

And I think I might play an aggressive Inquisitor... how would that synchronize with Sera, do you think?
I guess it would depend who you are aggressive towards.
I've been thinking about the different class gameplay lately. Sera's a tempest right? What exactly is the type of powers that involves? The specialization isn't exactly super clear. I also don't get the impression Sera is "possibly mad."
It's probably using the potion thingies to alter weapon damage type (cold/fire/etc.). It could be useful since enemies have damage type immunities and weaknesses. There might be some defensive potions too.
The Tempest fighting style is supposed to be 'mad', similar to how Berserker's go about it I guess. Chaotic/unpredictable/etc. Sera could be 'possibly mad' too, we don't really know yet xd

Even though our qunari Inquisitor wasn't born in Par Vollen, it is confirmed that we are in a Tal-Vashoth mercenary band, depending on how long we've been in it and if Tal-Vashoth do speak some Qunlat, we probably would have picked up on some of it. Would be great if elf Inquisitors got to speak some elvish as well. I'm not too sure whether dwarfs have their own language or not though.

They do but it's not as cool. Elvish is cool because it feels nice when you speak it, if that makes sense, and Qunlat is cool because there's a lot of linguistic backhands which is just awesome.

They had multiple languages but most have been lost with the Thaigs that likely spoke them with only a handful of phrases remaining.
Then again, as the inventors of the "common tongue" technically most are speaking Dwarvish.

Continuation of my previous banter with male Trevelyan.
Sera: You were kinda harsh with him.
Cassandra: He was acting the fool.
Sera: You have that effect on him.
Cassandra: We need to focus on our mission. There is no time for this nonsense.
Sera: Aww, poor Trev. And he told me earlier how much he likes you.
Cassandra: *blush* ... He did?
Sera: But you're right. We don't have time for this. *starts walking away*
Cassandra: *stops her* Wait! What... what did he say?
Sera: You know, I don't really remember. Maybe you should ask him?
Cassandra: *redder* Erm... no. No. We must focus on the mission.
Sera: Suit yourself. I remember it was really sweet though.
Cassandra: It was?
Sera: Go on. Go talk to him! He's right there! *pushes Cassandra in Trev's direction*
Cassandra: *redder still* A-alright. Maybe I will. *walks away*
Varric: You little matchmaker, you!
Sera: Hey, just because she doesn't want me doesn't mean everyone should be left hanging!
Varric: And her getting some 'action' could potentially improve her mood?
Sera: That too.

To be fairer, is there anyone among the companions and advisers who is completely mentally healthy? The mages seem more stable than the rest, but then...

I'll prob roleplay an Inquisitor with a chip on her shoulder myself, aggressive but not ruthless, also not entirely happy being thrown head first into a Chantry centric mess but just have to deal with it, grudgingly. As for how will Sera deal with an aggressive Inquisy it all depends, who are you being aggressive to, are they people she empathizes with, if so she won't approve of your actions, may damage your relationship with her and such.
Then again being assertive in certain situations can be quiet attractive, she might admire your conviction and strength. As long as you aren't being cruel to people for no good reason I reckon she can let some things slide. The life she has led has no doubt be colourful, she is no innocent to the worst of what people are capable of I'm sure.

I tend to like playing characters like this, though it can be a challenge with the various dialogue systems.
I'm curious as to how changing the approval system again will affect companion relationships. They've always had a problem with disagreeing on one strong issue and agreeing on another would push you into neutral territory which tended to result in no content.

I'm imagining that my elven inquisitor will have been a keen learner and always interested, but will obviously have been sheltered away among the Dalish, so her exposure to other cultures will have been minimal.
After meeting all these new people with differing beliefs for the first time, she will be very interested to learn more, and, finding that not all the shemlen are bastards who want to kill her, will start to question Dalish teachings. Seeing the variety of other ideas allied with the chaos into which the world is falling, she'll think that maybe no one else has it right yet, either, and that something new has to be forged.
I'm hoping that, as a disruptive influence to the status quo, Sera will get on quite well with her...
I have no idea to what extent the game will let me do this, with all this talk of the "Herald of Andraste" and such, but I'm looking forward to finding out!

It's a popular theory.
I just think it'd make sense with the whole : The Inquisitor is a leader of leaders because the first three companions, cassandra varric and solas, cass is a leader and she brings varric along who was at the heart of the Kirkwall events and Solas has expertise no one else does.
Then you have Blackwall a grey warden, vivienne a (almost) First enchanter, a Qunari mercenary commander, Dorian an altus mage, Cole a spirit.
They can't let Sera just be a random criminal or compared to the level of importance and influence (in most cases) the others hold, she'd be outclassed. I want ther to be Red Jenny. so bad. plz bioware. she even wears red clothes

It does make a great deal of sense
I like the idea that there isn't really an actual person in charge called Jenny, Red or otherwise; that the fact they are the Friends Of makes it a sort of memorial organisation, if you like, acting in the memory and name of someone. Of course, whoever was in charge would be considered by outsiders as "being" Red Jenny even if that wasn't what the name meant, but they - she
- could be the (main) leader anyway.

Well she seeks us out, so I imagine not much. Or assuming we meet her on the way to a ball(like some people have said) maybe she just wants us to get her inside or do some spying while we're in there.
