I tried to block out as much of that game as I could myself.

In Mark of the Assassin, if Aveline is with you, her quest reveals a mystery related to her father. Her father was a chevalier who left Orlais after his lord was killed, presumably as a result of "The Game" the nobles play there. The search ends with a Black Vial and the usual Revenant. Afterwards you find a cryptic note that mentions the "She of the Red". The Friends of Red Jenny paid to acquire a box that First Enchanter Irving kept at Ferelden's Circle of Magi. They also pay Hawke for every street gang who terrorizes Kirkwall. But as you progress along the Acts more of the gangs have supernatural members. I wonder if the Friends of Red Jenny are dedicated to handling hidden supernatural threats to Thedas.

Or this? (vegans abstain too)

Now I'm hungry. Good job, I'm off to find a bite of something.

Alex luv, you missed the innuendo. Sausages represent a certain part of male anatomy and clams do the same thing for ladies. Think about it, it will come to you...

I dunno. Sausage suggests a thin, not-always-long construct. You might insult some men with that.

I keep feeling so out of place here, what with all my rage...

NO.

Allow me to teach you how to harness your rage, for I seriously don't want to know what I could do when I lose self-control. *gasp* I'm a Berserker! *high fives Oghren*

When it comes to what's on my plate, I'm a big fan of sausages, of any sort, but I hate seafood.

But when it comes to the trousers departement, it's exactly the opposite :P

Same here. The fact that I'm allergic to shellfish probably has something to do with it....

Speaking of voices, are you guys going with Alix or Sumalee?

I'm going with Sumalee, rather have her for my aggressive Inquisy plus don't really like the idea of having a British accent as a Dalish.

Eve Myles and Gareth David-Lloyd are both Welsh and, last I looked, Wales was part of Britain. Rather an English accent than an American one for my quizzy, I think...

Exactly: Wales is part of Britain, not England. I learned the hard way that people are pretty touchy about the distinction.

To be fair, the Received Pronunciation (known as RP or "posh English") accent like Alice uses is taught at fee-paying (what in the UK we call public for arcane reasons but are known as private in the US) schools and I know Welsh and Scottish people who have it. It's historically based on the accent of the upper-classes in the South East of England but isn't geographically specific these days. It's more an indicator of a privileged upbringing. Local British accents vary hugely...

But yeah, Wales and Scotland are most certainly NOT part of England. Do not say that.

The Dalish have a mixture of Welsh and Irish accents as of DA2, yes. City elves are another matter.

Doesn't "at least" mean it's the minimum to expect? My point was they might just be content letting subtext be subtext and not take it any further. I never watched more than a handful of episodes, but I think Warehouse 13 did something along those lines.

I've actually been thinking lately how many times I recall seeing gay or lesbian content appearing in children's programing.

The most noteworthy examples I remember are from the DC Animated Universe:

Sure there's been a lot of gay and lesbian pairs in kids show but it's still all subtext and almost never explicit. It becomes obvious as adults but like that wonderwoman joke it flies over kids heads

Hi everyone!  :D   I'm Sierra, I guess you could say I'm kinda new to the thread (tho I've been creeping for a while now).  I'm going crazy waiting for this game to come out, so I've decided to join in the conversation because I can't really talk about my love for Dragon Age and Sera with my friends.

I will say, I feel like I'm in the minority here; my first playthrough will be a Trevelyan mage who romances Sera.     (sorry SPEW)

Welcome! Don't worry about the SPEW thing. Sera is open to everyone! :D

I know the feeling of not having friends who are into games. So make yourself at home!

My best friend is into games, but I haven't gotten him hyped on DAI yet, but I'm not giving up.   Slowly but surely.

Well I don't get it last night before I went to bed I was able to like a post but this morning I wake up and it's telling me I've used up all my likes for the day. It could be a long day.

At least I was able to like a post with the word bewb in it last night. :)
