I don't think it will be 2/4/2, which is really bad news for me because I want to romance Vivienne really badly and I don't think she'll be a LI if that's the case.

If they're serious about race restrictions, I could see they might have more options and do something like 2/4/2.

They'll never do race restrictions, at least not as more than a single character. If the whole system was race gated but they still wanted to give choices, there would have to be at least 16 LIs. That's just impractical.

Hopefully It won't be handled  that way,although I can understand why they might do it for a dwarf or a qunari companion(varric or the IB for example)and that mainly due to potential animation issues.

But to be honest I can't see them choosing to implement race restrictions for human and elf romance options.

I agree, especially now that elves and humans are similar sizes. That seems like a practical change to make interracial romantic interaction easier to animate.

I think it'll likely be 2/2/2 or 1/4/1. I think it's too optimistic to think that there will be eight LI options.
