I'd like to think that Sera would have more fans beyond just women who are interested in romancing her. Makes Sera feel like less of a character if she can't appeal to more people. And I don't mean just guys but anyone whos not interested in romancing her. If Sera is only interesting as an LI I'd felt that Bioware had done a great disservice to her character.

Much the same with poor Cullen, who I feel gets some hate because of the fanfair over his romance. But I feel its very interesting to see a character grow over two games and then see him fill a major leadership role. I think Cullen will be plenty interesting even to those who don't want to romance him.

Hum..while I agree . I still believe some charachter warrant hate rightfuly . Either they are poorly written , or hit one sensitivity . And while I disagree with how much hate it can warrant . I think peoples have the right to be annoyed and not like X charachter . Its the AMOUNT thats ridiculouse .

You could say that about any DAI companion. And I know how popular S/S content is to folk who aren't part of the target group, it is a roleplaying game afterall.

Its hard to like a LI charachter...outside of it being just a Li . there are other charachter to fit that place . A few in mass effect like Dr.chakwa , Anderson...hackette.............that Journalist Wong?...and some others . 

 

But as soon as they get the Tag of Li or Companions...it become : Close quarter = fraternization rate 99% !
