it is not a universally accepted rule

Thank god, Eirene. You saved my sanity. I was preparing for this:

British English is cooler anyway.

That's just depressing.

Well, we try to avoid thinking about those.

:(

Okay then...I'll be sitting over here...in the corner...

Correction, English is a horrid language in general. lol. I pity anyone not native who tries to learn English to a fluent level. The pain and horror............

If you want to have a difficult language, try Japanese.

Is it, surely? Maybe I just suck at languages in general. I'll go sit in the shame corner and reflect on my linguistic failures. (read disclaimer)

Its most their mess of a writing system (or should I say multiple systems) thats an issue, not so much speaking Japanese. Or so says my friend who has studied in Japan.

Or Danish. It gives me giggles every time I see foreigners stumbling over words. We actually have a term that's so notoriously difficult to pronounce for non-native speakers that it was used to root out spies. :S

there is no such thing as a language that is intrinsically difficult or easy to pick up

similarity with a previously learned language can help but generally it is a lot of practice and hard work and more practice and rote memorization and more practice

practice and constant use are extremely important

**popping in**  As a friend said I should stop by.  *waves*  Hello!  :D

hmmm, I learned German for a bit, though mostly learned how the teacher cried very easily instead of the language. I am familiar with the structure of letters but dont know most of it, been out of practice. Did try learning french for a bit, went no where though.

I play paragon/diplomatic types rarely. I've just always had more fun rp-ing chaotic/renegade characters in most games. Shooting Mordin in the back was the most renegade moment to me. I thought it was quite sad but I just really dug how that scene was executed, it was so well done. The scene when Shep throws her gun on the ground afterwards was perfection. It's like one of my favorite scenes in the game.

I'd like to think that Sera would have more fans beyond just women who are interested in romancing her. Makes Sera feel like less of a character if she can't appeal to more people. And I don't mean just guys but anyone whos not interested in romancing her. If Sera is only interesting as an LI I'd felt that Bioware had done a great disservice to her character.

I am interested in romancing her. Actually my first choices, depending on who I end up liking the most is Sera and Josie for my qunari fem mage. The second one will be a rogue that will romance the one I didnt choose first. I know I plan on romancing everyone but Blackwall and Solas at this time, till I learn more about them, and if I learn I dont like one I listed as someone I will, then they will get bumped off. I doubt I will hate any of them myself. :)

EDIT: I dont doubt it Alexia. :)  I am sure I will run out soon.

I hated watching Mordin die, it was nice to know that the first new Krogan was named Mordin.
