Cullen isn't a character.......he is a legend. A god of fertility, last I heard. Who says only woman could be gods of fertility? Clearly, Cullen proves otherwise.

My problem with Cullen, is that he has never seemed all that important to the main story. Like ever... unless you sided with the Templars at the end of DA2, in which case the most signifigant thing he did was to hand power to the person who had just killed his boss. Other than that, I dont see what's to like about the man. bland bland bland. I mean at least in the Mage Origin, he was kinda awkward and flustered if you confronted him and his feelings. Then the Broken Circle and all mages must be killed...

Agreed. I don't see any reason why he should be here three games later. He served almost no purpose in the first game, somehow got a slightly more important job in the second one but was still a minor character, and now he's our super important adviser?

He seems to have the same amount of plot armor as Liara, who I will admit I totally fell for, but am willing to point out her flaws.

The Cullen's interview mentioned it was what Cullen did after DA2 that earned Him Cassandra's interest.
As for Why People like him, the First post i the Cullen thread has (i think) Some link to blogs/tumblr that explain we'll their reason. In the end, people like different things. I'm interested in His development after seeing Mages and templars at their worst, and seeing how he'll change from DA2.

As for why the writers wrote him back, Gaider mentioned They had a story in Mind for him. We'll have to see in DAI.

Regardless of the character, the Cullenites (which I'm part of, even he's not my type. I prefer Cass and Josie ) are generally very Nice people. They're not as bad as some people write they are (not Saying Someone wrote This here) .

Hum yeah . Especially after you corrected me If thats true what he said was about Templar..it seem like right now..he is sitting in middle , with kinda of resentement for both groups . Maybe thats why Cass recruited him .

But yeah... I don't think anyone will ever surpass the Cullen thread. The sheer volume of posts in there and how fast it goes intimidates me. I'm pretty cool with Sera and Varric being in 2nd and 3rd though, since they are awesome.

 

btw, guys, I want to draw Sera with another character. Who do you think I should draw her with?
