Yeah, that's called companion armor or plot armor. One Abomination can't kill them all, because then there'd be no point to companions. But that doesn't instantly make them stereotypical/Sue characters.
What's your definition then, out of curiosity?

It has already been confirmed modding won't be possible this time around.
I blame Frostbite.
Yea I know modding won't be officially supported, but hey, that was true for the ME series and some form of modding eventually became possible (ME3 even has a toolset of sorts).
Not saying I'm getting my hopes up at all though, I'm resigned to all dat vanilla.

It's actually not confirmed at all. What it's confirmed is that they won't release a toolset, and that modding will be a lot harder. We have no clue if people will be able to mod the game in some ways.
That's not what I remember reading, but it does make sense.

From what I recall people were suggesting that modding would be impossible due to the engine, but it wasn't something Bioware devs ever said. That's not what I remember reading, but it does make sense.

The traits I listed all in combination. The headstrong attitude, acting as the 'light in the darkness', loyal to those who prove it, disloyal to those who go against their values, a highly troubled past which changes how they are, and the like. Of course, I didn't say she is going to be that sort of character, I just said that specific set of traits is commonly found in characters dubbed 'Mary Sue's by their critics. Obviously none of us know what she'll actually be like, but what I'm saying is I'm suspicious that she could, possibly, end up as a stereotypical and bland character.

She sort of looks like a heavily modded DA:O character.
That's actually what I was thinking about her face/hair. It looks like someone took a DA:O model, slapped on some makeup, glossed the hair, then attached Elf ears. To me, it looks too "beautified" to fit within an industrializing Medieval environment.

It's really not an unreasonable explanation, though. Frostbite is still a brand new engine to which EA is apparently restricting outside access (i.e. they're not allowing third-party developers to use it for their projects).
I think it's possible that people might find a way to mod the game in some form, but I can see it being much more of a hassle than it used to be.

I don't get what she is trying to say.
"Bad things should happen to bad people" is self-explanatory.
"We meet someone not so bad, maybe he'll end up not so dead." Wouldn't someone not so bad be a good or, at least, regular person? Why would she specify that "not so bad people" will be "not so dead", which I assume means unharmed. Isn't that the way most interactions between people occur?
All I can think about is that she is for attacking some city or something and another companion reminded the Inquisitor that there are both good and bad people living there and she's saying that the Inquisition doesn't need to harm those who are not bad.

Yesss!
When I signed on Tumblr I saw the picture as an edit, and I was like, "wow that looks like Sera! They must have used mods to make their OC look like her"
She's cute, I love the outfit! However, something just seems off. It doesn't look the way I imagined, maybe? I'm not sure, but I am just very happy she was finally confirmed.

The outfit's great. The only things throwing me off are the face and hair. They just don't look right to me.

The quote does sound like it's out of context. I wouldn't read too much into it.

I think it's making a point of how indifferent she sounds. It reinforces the bratty and selfish idea the leaked survey gave us.
Look at your Sera:

Whats on her back?

Its the Hawke Key.
Apparently Sera robbed Hawke not to long ago.
So far we've seen several companions holding DA2 weapons. DHMG, Solas, Sera, possibly others but those come to mind.

Most likely placeholders.

I think it means is that if someone does moraly questionable things with the greater good in mind, they deserve an chance to walk away alive.

I have trouble to imagine in what context she could say something like that too, and what makes most sense to me is that she's threatening someone, like "you help us or you show us you're not as bad as you look r as the rest of your group, maybe we don't kill you"... Something like that
edit: thinking about it, what you say makes more sense, I think you're probably right. Though I'd add that she doesn't seem to expect finding there someone not so bad ![]()

But yeah, hopefully they won't change her outfit. With the DA2 weapons probably being placeholders, it'll be nice if they keep the outfits exactly as-is.

I just thought it meant she has no qualms about killing people she considers 'bad' as they deserve it.

You can upgrade their outfits, but they will always have the same general theme.
