aah, I'm also about to finish DA2.  

 

I'm replaying DA:O/DA2 and I have a weekly schedule and DA2 will be finished days before DA:I comes out.  This week, I'm finishing up DA:O DLC.

Me either. I start to think about one idea, then I get hooked on another one.

I know that I want to try every race at some point, and I know that I really want to play as a qunari woman. But I can't settle on a specific class. And then I start flirting with the idea of playing my Cass-mancing Cainequisitor, except I can't even decide if he should be human or dwarf. Then I see an elf in a stream and I go OOOH SHINY and start thinking of ways to play Dalish. And so on, and so forth.

In this state, I couldn't come up with a decently laid-out plan even if I wanted to. I can't even figure out gender, class, and race. Once I get the game, I'll just slide into something and go purely out of a desperate desire to see ALL THE THINGS, but until then, I'm stuck in this state of idiotic, indecisive limbo.

I've been writing a paper for one of my seminars on the German colonial empire in China and I keep thinking of this instead. I think I've had to retype "Qingdao" a dozen times because I default to "Qunari". This month is going to drag by more slowly than February 2012.

One of my good friends is playing through da:o/da2 for the first time, and live texting me everything that happens and her reactions. It's almost better than playing it myself, although....I am doing that too. Dragon Age hype is at peak critical levels, y'all. I just want the game so I can make my hot, obnoxious dwarf and smooch Sera save Thedas.

I can personally attest that she has a natural tendency to make super hot PCs too.

Yeah...thats better . Smoochie is more important...than saving tha world . I mean , it isn't like there is any celebration in the end anyway . Or Hooray...

I do that every time I toy with writing fanfic of a given video game character, or an AAR of a given strategy game campaign. Did it with my Sith Warrior in SWTOR, with Femshep in ME2, with the aforementioned Lily Hawke in DA2, and with countless campaigns in Europa Barbarorum I and II.

It sounds like a great idea until your screenshot finger starts to get tired and your HD starts filling up with gigs upon gigs of screenshot bitmaps (because free Fraps only takes .bmp screenies). I'll almost certainly do it for Inquisition at least once, but I'm both anticipating and dreading the experience.

Yeah, Origins was pretty unstable on PC. The Circle Tower and Denerim's marketplace especially. One of the other reasons I never tried to Fraps it up in any of my DA:O PTs.

The only thing I'm dreading is the screenshot-taking. Playing the game ought to be amazing.

Strangely, Origins only became unstable for me after I upgraded my PC.

 

On my rusty old bucket old PC, it ran just fine.

OMG! Yes! The Circle Tower...it was a nightmare . It crashed and crashed so many times......for me . It drove me mad !!

 

That's actually , I think one of the reasons why I never got in the game like everyone else . It left a bitter taste . 

And DA2 never crashed , the issue was mostly DirectX 11 . In DA2 I can choose in the setting to run it under DirectX 9....and it never did . But DAO never....I can never change it . So it...just crash . A zillion time at that . 

 

Hence why I just saw the damn ending twice
