Reminds me of this Clarkson gem:

Clarkson: We welcome homosexuals, especially the lesbian kind

Hammond: Oh god...

Clarkson: No seriously, I've seen a film about lesbians on the internet

Hammont: *facepalms* Oh god...

Clarkson: It looked very interesting !

I had to Google those names. I think they're hosts of a car show in England?

Not sure why things got uncomfortable apparently. Yuri doesn't mean porn. It means storys about love between two girls. There doesn't have to be anything sexual involved at all. Unless the notion that there are guys that like Yuri is whats uncomfortable, in which case all I can say is theres also girls that like Yaoi (love between two men) so it not that strange.

I didn't read anything creepy posted so........

Yes, although it's more an entertainement car-themed show.

Oh how I loathe Clarkson. He can be quite thoughtful and intelligent when he wants to be but that just makes the Top Gear crap worse.

*cringes* Seriously, Clarkson can be an annoying f%ck sometimes.

Top Gear would be better without him tbh.

On the subject of what gender you are perceived to be, if your username can be taken as the opposite gender then that can confuse people. Also if your name isn't obviously of one gender and your avatar is, then you're likely going to be seen as having the gender of your avatar unless you make it abundantly clear that that's not the case. Humans are lazy that way...

Hah!

Thankfully, no such thing as mistaking my name with a girl. When written properly, my name translates into "Sarge". Yeah. I went there.

Gender on the Internet is a topic that makes me giggle. Everyone is a sexless blob or an undercover FBI agent unless proven otherwise.

In some cases though everyone assumes you're a dude until proven otherwise. :P I've been mistaken as a dude so many times, I lost count.

Who is that in your avatar ?

It's Jorg from Mark Lawrence's Broken Empire trilogy.

The protagonist is not a nice person. He's ruthless and kills whoever annoys him, and the story is told by him from his point of view. I found it compelling and even ended up rooting for him, but some really didn't like it as the he's is so dark. I've read some criticism of the female characters in the books, and while that's kind of true for the first book, they get stronger, more rounded and more formidable as the series develops.

I really liked the setting of the series. You start off thinking it's a medieval fantasy universe like in Game of Thrones, but it becomes clear quite early that it's actually a future Earth after some horrible nuclear Armageddon, and as the series goes on, you get more and more sci-fi elements creeping in.

I'd recommend it, but only if you don't mind stuff that's dark.

I dont know how many times I've been confused for being a guy... I blame it on being a tomboy and having a lot of sharp metal objects... -hides the swords- oh and apperently over mics and such, my voice sounds like a guys... so yea.. take that for what you will.

/offtopic

I shall be back on in... oh 6-7 hours I suppose, cant miss this live stream, they're showing off Skyhold and hopefully we get to see the bar, with Sera. =D

Actually, thinking about it, Jorg is about as far from me in terms of personality as it's possible to get, and yet I have him as my avatar. That could be just as confusing as having a woman if not more so...

i have to disagree to the whole "designed for males" thing. porn sure but actual yuri absolutely not

As someone who has dated bi/pan/gay/ women:  I can tell you, that  a lot of Yuri is not even close to being catered for women. Most of it is made for males:                            series like steel angel kurami wouldn't sell, half as well, if they didn't. Let's stop pretending that yuri is just about 'girls love', okay? If you like Yuri fine, whatever, but don't try and say it's something, that it is not.
