I have never intentionally personally insulted someone with a slur.
Alex, maybe you don't know (since you're not a native English speaker, right?), but "retard" is considered a pretty offensive word. I'm not a fan of it being used as an insult when there are so many other insults that are delightful and not hurtful to innocent bystanders!
